Big deal. People have been remixing pop songs for ages its nothing new if he wants to create pop dance then let him I say.

At least he doesn't call it trance unlike some of the other guys.

I'm wondering why is this in MD though? Something worth discussing?

very well said, especially for Japanese pop stars.

here's instrumental:

I wholeheartedly agree.

If I were Ferry Corsten, I'd ask Tiesto to remix my remix, and then I'd remix his remix of my remix along with Armin Van Buuren, just to take the piss and laugh at all the purists who believe dance music is too lofty and sacrosanct to entertain Beliebers. That's what kids call teenage girls these days, right?

The best part is when Ferry says, "This scene is about fun, not you cannot do this or you cannot do that."

Too many people forget about that.

"in the end that guy paid me a lot of money"

the Justin Bieber hysteria baffles me. both on the account of how much hatred it has garnered and on the account of how many impressionable teenagers have become enamored of an average looking Canadian dude..
Why did Ferry Corsten remix his track?
Simple, he might be loathed by the majority of EDM fans, but association to the JB image and allure is quite lucrative. When you become inured to the daily grind of a globetrotting DJ, you start to assimilate yourselves more with the prevalent musical artists of the era.
It is not an abomination that Ferry Corsten put effort into making a remix of one of the most derided popular musicians of all-time. It is a lucrative move. Some JB teeny-boppers would otherwise have never been exposed to Ferry Corsten's music or name unless he allied himself with JB.
Give the guy a break.
