no - but neiter does Australia, and the non-french bit of canadian is english too. I just felt left out and stoopid!!
So I created languages Australian and American

Have you heard that old Bill Cosby bit about teaching an english dude "Mississippi" It was about all the dialects and variations of English used around America. The English language is a mess! And we don't really help by making up our own words - oh well makes for interesting conversations.

Is it true that English is one of the most difficult languages to learn as a second language??

i don't think so..because people are exposed to it so much that they tend to pick it up quite quickly. speech-wise.

Not true!

1, Chinese -\
2, Korean ---> think they have got like 6000 signs and you need about 3000 to read the news!!!!
3,German
and so on are much more difficult!!

Im from Austria NOT FROM GERMANY and had English in school for 9 years but its actually just enough to understand!!

Speaking it myself is like damn hard to me coz i hardly know any vocabs when i have to!!

I need practise which i get herelol

Other than that: je parle un peu francais which isnt even enough to buy a beer

well totally depends on what language you grew up on...if you grew up talking in a Germanic language such as German,Dutch,Danish, and English..... people usually find them easier to learn cuz they have many similar aspects in the language...........but its known for people that arnt fluent in a germanic language English could be fairly hard....compared to a Romanic language such SPanish or Italian..which is very latin based which is usually easier for most people....... well thats for INDO - EUROPEAN LANGUAGES.....but for use to learn Arabic or Chinese or Japanese.. it would be hard for someone like me....... but it all depends on your natural language i guess

King Swedish

Well I live in Sweden and therefore my first language is Swedish. We swedes understand Norwegians very good even though its another language, its almost like another accent.
I can say that 95% of the swedes understand english very well and almost as many can speak English as well.
Men fan va sknt det r att skriva lite svenska p den hr siten fr en gngs skull. So did anyone understand that??
Didnt think so, except for the Swedes, Norwegian and Danish fellas

c-ya

Cheers
