shit ASOT lineup
Yeah it's going to be an abomination. No thanks.
I have tickets so will be there to see A&B, Markus, PvD, and Ferry. As far as the rest goes...
Do people still really listen to Trance?
Trance is done for and PVD in a asot booking would be pretty dope back then but now yeah its kinda confusing.
there are some decent newcomers in trance that are bumping some good stuff (arctic moon, bryan kearny, sneijder, etc). a lot of 138/140 stuff.
but it's all about the techno now
there's a trance party at dream that tuesday.. umm
sied van riel, aly & fila, GO.. i can't find the link/flyer now though.

If the artist were in their prime then it would be a stellar night but it sucks that they only get 1 hour each

I went to the Global Connection @ Dream 2 years in a row and it was nothing but pure awesome trance! The first year I went to see mainly Aly & Fila because I'm a huge fan and listener of Future Sound of Egypt but only to find out that only Fila would be present since Aly has issues with his ears. Fila did not disappoint and tore it up and I don't know if I was high from his set but his BPMs kept getting faster progressively as the night went on. I was really impressed by his set and energy. And then Ronski Speed came on afterwards and he kept the energy going by throwing down a sick hard banging set! I honestly did not know what to expect from him since I didn't even realize he spins live. I went nuts when he dropped Agulo feat David Berkeley - Fire Sign (Suncatcher remix)
My favorite track of the year! At the end of the night i got to meet both of these undoubtedly talented DJs which totally made my week. This was by far the best trance show I've ever attended during WMC! So of course I returned the following year. This time no Ronski Speed though so I was a little disappointed but still got to see Fila. So I hope they bring him back next year because I would love to see him again.
I don't care what anyone says. Trance is not dying! I know a lot of the old trance DJs nowadays have transitioned to playing more trouse, techno, electro, or a fusion of the 3 which is what the public wants I assume. To see some of my old favs like Ferry, PVD, Tiesto, and even AVB (although I haven't seen AVB live in over a year) succumb to this is truly painful for me to endure. I guess I will no longer be attending their shows. I will forever be a trance addict for life! There are a lot of talented European trance DJs who don't get a lot of exposure in the states that continue to play and produce great uplifting high energy trance tracks. A few I would love to see are Simon Patterson aka Dogzilla, Angel Ace, Soundlift, Lazarus, Above The Clouds, Space Garden, Ronny K, New World, Peet B, and The Noble Six. If you're not familiar with these guys I recommend checking some of their stuff out ASAP. Let's keep trance ALIVE!!!
Yeah, definitely down for the Bedrock party at Cameo if that happens again. Went in 2011 and it was really good. Digweed played a nice 4 hour set and played great house music of all kinds. Was epic to see him in his "element."
Only trance I'm doing the entire weekend is the yacht party. Wouldn't mind seeing some good techno/tech-house at Treehouse -- I'd imagine there will be many sick label parties all week there. Less than 3 months away already, can't believe it's almost here again.

I used to be all for trance, sad to say it sucks lol and I will no longer be attending any trance events.
JOC is still one of those djs that can still throw it down. I'm talkin about 140 bpm high octane
As for trance, I agree it sucks but I checked schulz at space for a few hr of his marathon set and it was real good.
this year....::::::Sunday school please god!!!!!!!
there was a bad ass party last year at the lame club right next to space, can't remember the name. It went from midnight sat to sunday noon.
guy gerber
ellen alien
carl craig
those are just a few I remember but it was nothing but great dj's spinning all night, and i think i paid 30 bucks for tickets. I guess a way lamer sunday school but i had a blast.
looking forward to treehouse and pickle parties this year, gonna keep it to the non dress to impress venues this year.
yea for trance to sell it has to be booked at the right clubs - where its the club that sells if the artist isnt top 10.
trance promoters in miami should join together, book mansion or cameo, etc. and split profits on percentages. a weekday trance party at some club out of the way will not sell.
