Drum 'n bass has been back for ages. Look at the massive commercial success of acts like Pendulum, Chase & Status and DJ Fresh (who became the first drum 'n bass artist to have a UK #1 single about a year back - the official video for Hot Right Now has 36 million views on Youtube). When the Hospitality guys come to Leeds, they sell out the biggest club in the city. Last time Andy C put out a compilation, it was advertised nationwide on massive billboards everywhere. Drum 'n bass is bigger than deep house. It appeals to the kids and it has the deep, experimental stuff for the serious music heads.
I'm kind of out of the loop in regards to deep-house labels and releases. Anyone that could point me in the right way?

So Korean rap is apparently the most popular music in the world right now. Or ever really.
It's certainly more popular than deep house.

A search for simply "Pendulum" reveals five of their music videos have over 10,000,000 hits. All but one music video for "Chase & Status" on the first page has over 1,000,000 hits. Let me know how many times I have to do this before you're no longer convinced that DJ Fresh is some freakish anomaly.

Drum 'n bass probably stands to gain more from this "EDM" nonsense than most genres because drum 'n bass can fuse with any other genre, and tracks that sound like Guetta or Avicii but at 175 are not uncommon. What's remarkable about drum 'n bass is that it can sustain both these enormously mainstream acts and extremely challenging, inventive music. And people just label it all "drum 'n bass". House may be more popular than drum 'n bass, but not deep house.
Oh, an argument happened...
