I remember a story about Oakenfold playing at his Heaven nightclub in 1989, he turned all the lights out and played Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture in its entirety.

He has yet to do anything remarkable or interesting since (except for a mildly interesting goa mix in 94).

andy moors Tilt's going home was always my fav version of flesh

this Taste Xperience - summersault Tall Paul remix. wow

i always thought i was crazy for replaying to those essential mixes over and over. some honorable mentions- futura 2000 purple growning head. nemo - spacemaker Push remix. essential mix halloween 99 and NYE 99

heard this on another world. great cd, except the inclusion of stupid spoken snippets, like "are you going to see oakenfold?!!" layed over a breakdown etc.

anyway... oliver! amazingly, i don't think i've came across this before. has a great atmosphere. one of a cold hostile otherworldly planet.

this one's awesome, great drive. always kinda hated the normal salt tank mix...

This was the song that convinced me to buy the mix, actually. Heard it on one of those barcode-reading sampling stations at a Barnes and Noble after having heard Tranceport several years before and trying to find more electronic music.

Personally I actually love the spoken snippets. The combination of them and the ambient score pieces work extremely well with Oakenfold's otherwise mediocre mixing abilities to give a great picture.

only good thing i've ever heard him play.

From the goa mix, by far my favorite thing he ever did outside of forming perfecto, an old classic:

Could it be you forgot about your post three days ago on the second page or am I missing something?

"Flesh" is a great track (as are both the Tiesto remix and the Tilt remix)... but FYI Andy Moor was not part of Tilt at that time.

Oh man this unreleased track is friggin amazing. 1997 progressive trance ftw.

There are many but Lyric & Natali - Over Emotion (Original Mix) is one I want Lyric to release, I don't know why he doesn't.

this was released, wasn't it...

though there was a slightly different version i could never find that was on true euphoria.

edit: the vinyl was...

A Over Emotion (Spoiled Remix) Remix Spoiled 8:29
B Over Emotion (Smart System's Souvenir Mix) Remix Smart System
Remix [Credited To], Producer [Additional] Chopstick, Phoenix* 9:04

looks like the original mix was on true euphoria (great cd!) i rememeber it having being slightly warmer and having slightly different vocals. i could never find it...

the remix is pretty close, almost indiscernible to the average punter. that always annoyed me, knew something wasn't quite right.

Here's a few of my choices from the EM World Tour that haven't been mentioned yet:

Space Brothers - Forgiven (Origin Mix)

Luminance - Plutonium

Philippe Van Mullem - The Secret Folder (Part 1)

Saucermen - Aquarius (Evolution Mix)

I have that vinyl, it's on Lost Language. While they are ok mixes, the original has that encapsulating drive and warmth.

I just looked on AmazonMP3, and found two mixes I haven't seen anywhere else. One is (Spoiled Unreleased Vocal Mix) and the other says Lyric & Natali - Over Emotion(hoping it's the original) but from the short sample the atmospherics sounds the same, leading me to believe it's just the (Spoiled Remix) aka instrumental.

Here's the original from the producer. I check out his soundcloud and his new stuff sucks. This video leads me to believe this guy is in love with himself.

It's not the original, it's the instrumental.

Also, holy fuck. That video and his facebook are just ridiculous. Kinda shocking how he made a couple really good tracks, went silent for years, and now has come back with some great examples of fucking trite shit.
