$100. Either way I should make a good amount. The price will only sky rocket.

I chose to pick up tickets. That way I can calm anyones nerves about just printing out a shit ton of tickets and trying to make a million dollars. I'll be selling in person, cash only. I won't take check or anything like that. Not running the chance of a chargeback or whatever. Oh and forget stubhub, I'm not giving them any of my money for them doing nothing.

Haters

You guys are pathetic. What you're basically saying is: "I don't like Armin, therefore I will rip off anyone who does."

The irony here is that people like you are the reason big trance DJs have changed their sound. You message board fans cannot be pleased unless everything goes your way: perfect venue, low price, "underground" crowd (an apparent euphemism for unemployed freaks), and a minimum BPM requirement with bare minimal vocals.

Reality check: Miami Beach is an expensive party city. I have been to WMC for many years now and would like to check out this event. It bothers me that my "fellow" TAers are trying to gouge other music lovers who want to check out this event.

On one hand I can understand your frustration that the mainstream sound has deviated from strict trance. But on the other hand it has to compete with other genres so the productions/tours are sustainable. High end venues will inevitably attract some of the 'models/bottles' type of crowd, but there are still plenty of us here in the silent majority who would like to see this event as fans. If you buy up all the presale tickets you will make sure that fans are priced out of the market and only VIPs attend. In other words, you will be the cause of models and bottles taking over this scene.

I will attend this show even if it means that I have to pay more because bitter people like you guys buy up all the early tickets. I can afford it. But it's a disgrace that you guys call yourself a community and then take advantage of people with different taste.
Maybe if you guys got real jobs instead of spending all day trolling on TA and spreading hatred you would be considerate of other people and their tastes. Tolerance goes a long way. Stop acting like a bunch of junior high emo punks.

Posted by Juan Paulino on Mar-05-2013 19:52:

Whoa Whoa, nobody is taking advantage of you. What you speak is heresy and it won't be tolerated. We all have real jobs and don't spend all day on TA. Some might get the opportunity to browse while at work. If armin wants to cater his sound out good for him and if you want to see him thats your problem, no one is stopping you. Fact is we are not all going to jump the bandwagon and go or say armin is still the best. So please chose your words wisely and don't call us emo trash and expect not to get a reply.

Well, if anyone would like to sell theirs to a loyal TA, I'd be more than willing to purchase them from you. I'd greatly, greatly appreciate the fairest price possible but thank you.

Struck a nerve huh? And it's fairly ridiculous to say that we don't have real jobs. I work behind a bar and make a good amount of REAL cash, so it must be a real job. I also am enrolled in a CAHME master's level health administration program. You have no idea what people on this site are really like. Also quite comical that in your view, anyone that doesn't subscribe to the mainstream EDM sound is an unemployed freak...lol. I think it's fair to say that not too many people dropping money in Miami during WMC are unemployed. Shit is expensive.

And finally, "real music fans" are not attending this event. It's at Story and male tickets went up to 175 within minutes. 99% of the people there won't know shit and are there to be seen with their $200 John Varvatos shirts and Gucci handbags.

How about let's stop the bullshit and division within the electronic music community as a whole. The mainstream fans think the peeps who like underground sounds are freaks and the underground fans think the mainstream cats are all YOLO rich dudes. It's stupid. Both groups have such members but I don't think either description is indicative of electronic music fans as a whole. BTW, I, along with most of the TAers I've met are the farthest things from a "freak." We do go to big mainstream shit too, hell I'm checking out Markus at Space, going to Ultra, etc. Not all of us that listen to tech-house and techno are emo fucks that dress like slobs -- it's a shitty stereotype to use.

Posted by Faceplant on Mar-05-2013 20:04:

Armin is like the starter dj for trance. When ppl finially understand what real trance is (obvisiously some still have no clue) they move on to better music. Why spend 175 for armin when pure trance was 20 and the trance party at space is about 40. Both will have a better crowd, friendlier ladies who aren't stuck up and most of all better music. Keep spending big bucks on these guys so the underground real parties stay cheap.

Posted by Pantone199c on Mar-05-2013 20:21:

I like how he's trying to tell people from Miami that Miami Clubs are expensive. No shit, really?

I went to see Magda at Story for $20 bucks. Wore my SPACE (regular attire for SPACE) clothes nothing fancy and I walked right in while the bottle poppers and big spenders waited in line and payed up to $60. I remember seeing this guy pissed as hell he had to pay it, but in the end he did.

These tickets started at $100. That is ridiculous! If you are willing to dump up to $190 for this, I'm sorry but that's crazy. I'm not selling to any fans anyway the venue attracts the high roller crowd. So if they have deep pocket books then so be it.

Read this if you want to open your eyes to how promoters and companies like ticketmaster fuck all us over: 6 Reasons It's So Hard To Buy Concert Tickets

Oh and if you want to buy my ticket, since I like you so much I'll sell it for $250. Sale price for you only.

EDIT: Male GA is almost sold out.

First, (@ faceplant)Pure Trance and Armin are on different nights so the argument comparing the two makes not sense.

Second, (@ ucforange) I'm surprised you're getting so upset about mmalik427's post when you and other TAers on this thread have posted some pretty stereotypical comments about the people who attend Story, and Armin attendee's in general. I've actually talked to you in person and you say some pretty shitty stuff about people who don't like tech music as well. It's kind of funny seeing you get all upset and start saying "Let's stop the division between the electronic music community" when you were just contributing to it.

Third, I've been to show a lot of different venues in Miami and different crowds; the bottom line is a dark night club with loud music and 75% of the crowd is either drunk/high/rolling isn't really a place to meet or talk to people period! So getting mad at high rollers and the like is silly b/c even "pure trance" parties have assholes. And isn't all suppose to be about the music, not the people? I respect the fact that you dislike Armin but putting down people who do isn't cool.

I have no idea who you are but I guess it's possible I've met you. Yes, I tend to say some shit, particularly when I'm intoxicated, but usually it's just for laughs and a reaction. I like clubs like Story given the right DJ.

And shit, if I had the money, I'd party like a high-roller too, I'm definitely not hating on that type of thing. How about this...I like to scalp a few tickets during WMC to offset some of the costs. There it is. If that makes me a "bad music fan" then so be it. If you are offended by this, I don't know what to tell you.

And yeah, WMC events actually are a great place to meet people. I've met some great people from these events. You don't have to be in the middle of the dance floor the whole night with a bunch of messed up fans...there are places to mingle and exchange good conversation.

Posted by Pantone199c on Mar-05-2013 20:48:

Let's not forget that Armin and his cronies are cutting out the fans by playing in places like Story that charge so much. Most of the parties I am going to are on average $30. Minus M+S54 because I didn't buy it in time. Let's stop putting this guy on a pedestal, he's not god. He says a lot of stuff but in the end his actions are totally contrary to his rants about his fans.

im comparing a trance even to another trance event just to prove the rediculious price point.

As for not being able to meet people I have meet more cool people during wmc who I have become long term friends with than any where else. Everytime I go down to Mia I have ppl to hang with and show me the local spots. This is all from clubs. Iv meet Promoters, photographers ect.

Wmc is a music conference for... Making new connections in the industry.

Do we need to tell you how much of a clown your being with those comments. I use to have the same problems with this board talking about Armin, but hes officially gone off the deep end with playing and promoting cheese and now with these ticket prices, come on man. A real fan doesnt want their dj pulling this shit, i want my favorite dj to stay true to it. And guess who playing with him. W&W, cheesefest of the century. Electro junk all night for the kiddies.

cool story, bro.

keep being a sheep - you're getting assraped for a ticket to a show with subpar music. last year, armin @ mansion on the same night started at $25. we're not the ones playing you out, you're the one getting played out by the artists. open your eyes.

anyway - enjoy armin with the the #TRANCEFAMILY. we can compare notes on story, i'll be there the night before when lucien blows the roof off while i'm surrounded by beautiful south american girls with fake breasts who barely speak english .

+100

The Luciano party will be SICK. That's a real party at Story, not the fake crap the next night.

If AvB played an event like Pure Trance, you could bet your ass I'd be there to see him. It's not like he can't play some bad ass shit, he obviously still has the talent.

Only accidentally then I started vomiting uncontrollably.

EDIT: Some guy already selling his tickets.

So barely an hour after buying the tickets he already can't go. Riiiiiight.

I'll throw my 2 cents in...armin is what got me into trance and I thank him for that, but as time went on and he grew bigger and bigger his sound changed...he still has talent cause he has moments in his sets where hes just going at it but then the cheese kicks in and I find myself standing around. I would love to see an armin and markus b2b cause I'm sure markus would make him step his game up. And I hate how his podcasts are only 20 minutes when other djs are putting out 1 or 2 hour podcasts

Exactly, I discovered ASOT randomly when I was in college in 2003. Armin has his moments but it's less often than it should be. His whole "prisoner of your style" argument is stupid too. I mean how can someone change their style so drastically so fast and it just so happens to be the SHM/Avicci/Skrillex style which is the most popular style right now and for the past 3 years.

If you think that that is a pure coincidence, I have some magic oil that will make your desired body part larger for the low price of $19.99, I'll even throw in a free bottle if you call in now. Open your eyes, your love for Armin has blinded you, I was like you once not long ago. Now I know better.
