-- How much can you _really_ get on a cd?
Pages (2): « 1 [2]
In Nero I've seen CDs go up to 703MB at the most. If you have 702MB of data to burn....you can finalize (don't use multisession burning) and be able to burn 702MB onto the CD. Audio is a different case. When it comes to audio (in Nero) look at the time bar and not how much data the audio takes up....somehow it just works that way.
Where can I get these 800MB and 1.3GB CD-Rs????????????? I'll pay what's necesary to get them!!!!!!!!!

The double density disks require special drives and media, and cannot be read in other CD drives, so it is kind of sucky in that sense. I'm guessing that it isn't readable in audio CD players either, since the spacing between the pits and tracks is smaller than on a regular CD. Plus the media is more expensive than for CD-R's.

then I would prefer getting a DVD writer, more space and you can play it in cheap players, and there are even car players available...
I wonder how much audio will fit on a dvd... about 500 minutes? It would be gr8 for livesets... however what if they will decide to make a new standard... like 5.1 audio or smthn like that.. It would make whole new opportunities for special effects inside traxx
