another thought of resilience gained through experiencing the pain:
Take something of everyday life: appeareance, people work out to look good, worrying about being overweight and whatnot and then suddenly an ad on paper says "SSS INCREDIBLE!!! I LOST 20KG IN 1 MONTH!!! AND ON TOP OF IT ALL, I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO DO ANYTHING, JUST PUT THIS POWDER IN YOUR FOOD AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO!!"
Getting in shape means going through a lot of mfking pain no matter what, there is no magic pill that will do the work for you just like that.
If one is experiencing stress what they're thinking is " oh God, just this once, I can't take this shit no more!" *swallows* - yeah cool, ok now how long are you going to carry on like that? One might think that this painkiller thing keeps every one of your damn problems at bay, but that is only an illusion.
A very simple way to put things, during coursework you have aloooot of studying to do and as we all have done: "hey come on, the deadline is for next week's end, there is pleeeeeenty of time" Sooner or later one realises that shit isn't going to work like this, whatever problems we have, sooner or later, they still need to be dealt with.

But what is the real problem with that? People are more focused on looking good than feeling good. Both take work, but if people would put the same amount of effort into feeling good that they are willing to put into looking good - they would realize that looking good is a side effect of feeling good. Lololololol.

But yeah, people aren't willing to put effort into either of those things no matter which way they view it. I am so sick of motherfucking Body By Vi posts on my Fb newsfeed, lol.

Why don't you stick to movie reviews? You fucking moron.

I am so fucking sick of you chasing me around to rip on my posts every time I try to engage in conversation with people around here. Fuck off already.

Wasn't DA a pill addict? Thought he chewed vicky like tic-tacs from what I heard.

I would be too if I lived in a hot ass place like that and all I had was a black hoody.

i took them for about 3 years. Never really felt like I was getting high. It helped with the anxiety before i knew i had an anxiety problem. I would perhaps take more if i was going to a party which was a 4 times a year type thing. I never felt like it was out of control, i did see that it would eventually have to end but I also saw that what i was doing which was causing the stress would end as well. I think in 3 years, i might of doubled the dosage which was rather low to start with. I was eventually caught with a script but the charge was withdrawn. The lawyer for that was rather expensive and then whole thing took years to finish. My doctor knew as well as my sister and it was when I was referred to a psychiatrist to help with the underlying issue that prompted the need to take them in the first place.

I never really associated with any of those junkie type that took them to get high. They helped me work. Never insuflated them or turned into liquid. I was actually kinda pissed off that i was charged as I felt I was doing no harm to anyone. I would say i took them to feel sober as the anxiety was over whelming. Basically to counter that surge of adrenaline general anxiety tends to cause.

I think my case is somewhat rare tho. I have a hard time doing anything in excess as my body never reacted well to any soft of over consumption of anything really. I guess i was lucky. I always found it amazing how many drugs people can stomach on a regular basis. I prefer to assume my mind is not weak but more so a high performance machine that can't handle the abuse others put themselves thru.

I never understood people that take downers to get high. what is it that they feel? I was playing poker once with a guy on perx, it's like playing with my 93 yr old grandma... he had to be called on everytime someone said someting to him, but the entire time he was just sitting there in a almost vegitative like state. but if you do have a problem and the medication helps you and provides a more positive outlook on life, then yeah.. go for it... it's much better than being curled up in a fetal position feeling the effects of depression or anxiety. Some people are just not strong enough to conquer that challenge without any help (pills)... there

If you took them you'd understand. It's like doing pharmaceutical heroin.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Apr-17-2013 14:18:

I tried percs once...boy was it ever fucking terrible.

Well maybe it's not for everyone, but for a lot of people that feeling is pure bliss. It lifts your mood, it makes your body tingle, it relaxes you. I think it's great. I only do them once in a very great while but always enjoy it.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Apr-17-2013 15:08:

Ah man you got me. I'm actually super straight edge

Hydrocodone is pretty lightweight as opioids go, but even that felt great to me.

Probably has something to do with your personality. I bet people who naturally tend toward tension and agitation have more of a thing for "downers."
