yeah ride the lightning and master of puppets are awesome too, but theres just something about the sound of and justice for all that i love, i cant really explain it! kinda rough, the bass is mad, chunky? lol i dunno... its mad shit. i dont have kill em all though, but i did have all the mp3s. i need to get it one day.

i love the older radiohead albums. Pablo Honey, The bends etc. The bends would have to be my fav album of all time. I have a a bit of a soft spot for powderfinger as well.

I always pride myself on being open to different genre's of music and the rewards are so satisfying.

Sometimes I just get too tranced out (if thats possible ) and it's good to escape to The Cure, The Pumpkins or even a bit of Dylan now and then.

I sometimes wonder what purpose genre-bashing serves. I mean if it's music you like it's good music. I can honestly say I'm more of a music-addict than anything... but then again I wouldn't be as happy without trance.

so let the music play...

I love Dylan, blood on the tracks is one of the best albums ever! :-) I live Pearl Jam Binaural as well, REM, lots of electronic genres (just got headline 14 for $5 on vinyl! :-) Faithless a great, i love killers lulaby of sunday 9pm. Kruder and Dorfmister are great too and the notwist.

The original artist is Samuel Barber.

Originally it was a standard classical music piece:

Then William Orbit put out his rework:

Then Ferry Corsten remixed William Orbit's rework into a pumping trance track:

Much repsect should go to Samuel Barber for the original tune.

I like quite a few other styles of music too.

I like happy hardcore, especially after having attended a few underground style rave parties like Mystic and Hyperspeed some years ago, they really were absolutely awesome fun.

I also like Ambient, especially the very serious stuff like the music of Robert Rich and Steve Roach.

I have Robert Rich - Trances/Drones, which is a double CD and each CD has 3 tracks of around 20 minutes each. The deep tracks flow very gradually and smoothly, often very minimal but if you really listen you can kind of tell there is real artistry in it. It's absolutely awesome stuff for escaping reality into extreme depths of a dream-like state. Some of the em:t series are great deep stuff too, e.g. I have Woob - 1194, it's very special.

The Cafe Del Mar music is a lot lighter stuff, but is still okay if you don't want to chill so seriously/deeply, I'd say it's more suited for having a cocktail outside as the sun sets on the beach horizon. Deep ambient stuff is more suited when you're lying down and have your eyes closed in pitch darkness.

Also listen to Global Communication for some good ambient, not as serious or deep as Robert rich kind of stuff, but very good quality. I have their albums "76:14" and "Remotion".

Yeah I like Pink Floyd too, listen to "Meddle" for a seriously deep narcotic journey. I also like some of hteir newer stuff, especially The Division Bell and the track "High Hopes". Their P.U.L.S.E. concert is great eye candy too. I think it is through Pink Floyd that I realised music can really have a strong "epic" and/or "euphoric" feeling.

I liked U2 as well, e.g. The Joshua Tree, Achtung baby and Zooropa.

I used to listen to Black metal and Doom metal. I still have the album Cradle of filth - The principle of evil made flesh, and My dying bride - The angel and the dark river. It taught me about power, poetry, and epicness in music. I liked Metallica too, e.g. Ride the lightning, ...And justice for all, and self-titled black album. Also a bit of Iron Maiden and Megadeth.

I like a bit of classical as well, since I had to do it in high school. e.g. Handel - Water music & Music for the royal fireworks, Vivaldi - Four seasons (and other Vivaldi violin works), and some Haydn. I found and bought Moonlight Sonata some months ago.

I also like some drum n bass, e.g Omni Trio (I have "The Haunted Science"), and TPower (I have "The self-evident truth of an intuitive mind").
