I don't agree. If the promoter has sent email to their mailing list about an event, and tickets are already being sold online, especially at early bird price, yet, they haven't posted the event on TA because, let's face it, FB and other social media are more popular than TA, why wouldn't I alert my fellow TAs? It seems most promoters don't participate much on TA anyway, they once in a while post a few weeks worth of events, all at once, and then they disappear.

chances are if that promoter is active on TA like my suggestion says, he/she should make it to TA relatively soon after sending out some sort of mass e-mail/social media whatever.

i mean, say you find out about an event 100 days away. you know the promoter usually posts about his/her events on TA. do YOU really have to post it 98 days out? you can't wait until < insert appropriate amount of time > to see if the promoter is going to post it themselves?

i'll leave it in the air as to what an appropriate amount of time is. probably gonna be disagreement on it. i just feel like some people jump the gun way too soon in posting about an event. and they might do it half-assed, which causes the promoter to know be forced to post in the middle of the thread with pertinent details. you might stay on top of things and update the original post with said details. but if you had just waited until say 60 days out, the promoter would have already created the thread because maybe there was an important detail that didn't fall into place until 70 days out or whatever.

this is obviously a little off the original topic of having too many promoters. the promoters should probably conference amongst themselves and sort out who should take priority on TA and what not. because otherwise it should be first come, first serve.

Speaking of Exchange LA promoters, there are 3 posts from 2 promoters for Friday but nothing posted for the Sunday event yet.

i think the Sunday event is an Asian promoter night or something. I thought I read something about that.

Yes, it is Asian promoters. I saw it on the weekly Exchange LA email.
