Oh yea dude, that soundset sounds great, but what I meant was in comparison to Sylenth or Massive, very few people make soundsets for it, which for some producers (the ones that use mostly presets), Predator seems less attractive than other synths.

Speaking of Rob Papen, Blue is still one of my favorite synths ever even though nobody mentions it anymore. I think it's always been an under-appreciated synth. According to Rob, Blue 2 is in development, but no idea when it will be released.

might not be that underrated but albino 3, i know its popular with the dubstep/dnb guys but most people dont really seem to like it. I think it sounds huge though, better sounding than predator imo but much more limited.

and logic's only 2 usable synths Sculpture and the EFM1

Albino 3 is discontinued, so you can't get that anymore.

Really? I'm sure it's user error but I can never get the arp to sound real; there's always this fucking horrible trigger noise so you end up using the cutoff to eliminate it which then sounds shit.

Amen. Whenever I'm stuck, this is the go to. I swear I don't think I've done a project is the last 5 years without it.

Not trying to start a debate here, or a flame war, but I just want to know what you don't like about ES2.

!

ES2 Rules!

the distortion unit is rather good. It can sound nasty and used it for my signature lead sound. Predator is not really underrated. I think that you have to pick old or obscure ones.

over it now.. but I did sincerely try using the ES2 because it's the only logic synth that uses digiwaves...

cant pan the oscillators independently

you can only clock-sync 1 of the 2 lame lfos,...why? why make 1 lfo do less thats so fucking stupid

no trigger phase for the lfos

animations are gay, color scheme is terrible, like green orange and light blue, brilliant

I mean it has a couple cool things but wow, D+ synth. Although i dont think it was ever intended to be groundbreaking. And I couldn't get any kind of warm or lush sound out of it for the life of me so there is that.... what do people actually like about it? Like why wouldn't you use anything else

kHz One

finding myself going to it more and more, right alongside Sylenth1 and Nexus.

Posted by eyepad on Jun-01-2013 23:50:

Monark. I say it's underrated because it's so simple and monophonic, but it sounds tits.

Posted by Looney4Clooney on Jun-02-2013 04:24:

the beauty of reaktor synths being that you can hack them. Although it will kill your cpu making it polyphonic.

It looks pretty similar to sylenth, can you write something what makes it different, does it have more modulating options?

Great replies. Gonna have to try a few of these....in particular the Mono Poly, Khz One, and the one posted right below Khz One (forgot name)

Does anyone have any experience with Ultra Analog VA-1 from AAS? I have been meaning to demo it but have never gotten around to it. I'm extremely interested in it and going to check it out when my new laptop arrives.

Here is a link for it,

I have it. I bought it when audiomidi had it on a $15 no-brainer sale. It's a nice-sounding synth - can get very lush/rich/warm tones and not bad on the CPU from what I recall. For some reason, I don't use it much, though, and I often forget that I even have it. Too many synths, not enough time.

I have UA license I don't need. If you want I can transfer it to you.

Somehow I also have strum acoustic guitar and string studio. Don't need those either if someone wants them.

Mono Poly is one of a kind. Its the most different sounding synths i ever tried and it has a very warm sound (close to the virus TI) when I A/B compared it. I was considering on buying the Mono Poly Hardware Keyboard but its way to expensive on ebay. 1,600 +, SO i'm getting the KingKorg instead.

+1 for the Mono/Poly plugin. It is my go-to VA.

omg echosystm back!

WELCOME BACK echosystm!

i was all ready to come in here and say fabfilter twin 2 cause it's the only synth I have that lets you modulate trigger phase of the lfos, but jesus christ this thing sounds bad. And the filter routing is stupid, and there aren't enough waveforms to do anything interesting. There's a lot they got right though but yeah useless. I can think of half a dozen free ones that do more and sound better
