Traveller - Bright Signs from one of his own compilations

Posted by Mattsanity on Sep-04-2013 21:21:

yeah I think it was a track from 2000. I'm not sure what Arminities saw in that 2005 track...

hey i mean it's a good track haha. I remember there was a while there where i couldn't go out without hearing it at some point in the night. Our local DJ's beat it to death lol.

Mojado ft. Mr Sam - El Toro. haha I remember when Magik Muzik released this. that offbeat snare was an interesting fad in 2004/2005. it was probably most popular in Armin vs. Mike - Intruder.

Wamdue Project - King Of My Castle

Posted by Mattsanity on Sep-07-2013 15:15:

^I just checked it out - very nice record.

Remember electric circus? That was the shit back in the day. It was #1 there for quite a while, I actually never liked that track though, I was too busy listening to darude - sandstorm.

Shouldn't you add Roy Malone's King Edit there? I wasn't really into the scene back then, but I don't remember the original getting played anywhere. And that edit was played to death everywhere around here.

probably nitpicking if that edit was what was known as "the" king of my castle, I was just curious to know if the original also got much hype. it is after all quite a different track

Hyped when it came out in 1992, I have some doubts? And you would also kill B.B.E. and my hero's

I think God is a DJ was pretty hyped.

nah, the original itself didn't crossover outside of the deep house scene. partly because it's 112bpm or the likes and it came out when the popular house dj's was barely touching that tempo spectrum.

i actually wrote a blog entry on it two years ago and i still can't figure out why someone hasn't revived the original as it would fit their kind of sets almost perfectly

Yea but for some reason I dont think they labeled it correctly on some of the official ports like the music video? I dont even know how I remembered this track. I just heard the original mix for the first time and I like it 10000x better haha.

Wow what an Intro. Gonna make a bootleg.

I actually heard this last night.
