Thanks Woody! Really appreciate the fact you have experience with both the platforms.

It seems there is still a split between serato and traktor as to who uses it. I'm getting the feeling a lot of "artist" type DJ's prefer Traktor due to the options and quality whereas a lot of clubs and circuit gig guys just use serato as it's simple and straightforward.

I have to say Serato has done a terrible job of explaining what's happening right now and what the future is with them.

Serato DJ is obviously the new platform but I don't really understand why they just didn't do a clean break from the old platform (SSL), and make it all Serato DJ, instead of this convoluted phase out and tiered support of legacy interfaces on new equipment.

Unless I get luck and I'm able to pick up a serato interface (like sl2 etc) for cheap, I'll be going the way of Traktor (so I can use any interface I want with the hack).

....that is, unless someone has heard of a hack for Serato
