abslooutely not. If i dont like what im hearing then it dont go onto cdr. Im proud of my collection in that i could take out any cd i hav, and know that there is 700mb worth of music that i can put into winamp, put it on random, and no i wont need to skip a track coz its poo.

I totally agree. I too pride myself on the collection I have. Anything I don't like I just delete. What the point of holding onto stuff that isn't that great? Anything I bother burning to cd is quality stuff that I know I can put in and enjoy every single track. I have tons of 80's synth pop, eurodance, movie soundtracks, industrial, ambient, electronica, trance, drum n bass, breakbeat, etc. Its nice to know that of any of those genres (depending on my mood) I can just pop something in and enjoy it without the need to skip any one track. I knew this post would become a "Hey I have more mp3s than you do" type of thread and to that I say "yes but how is the quality?".

Well I thought something like this would happen, but doesn't look like it. Not yet...

But if you like the stuff you have on mp3 and love so much, wouldn't it be something worthy to have the orginal instead?? I do have some mp3 files that are pretty rare to find the original of, but if I came across to the orginal I would definately buy it. There's a lot of info in the original booklet, that doesn't come with the mp3 file.....and that's how the interest and knowledge of a genre and people involved with that genre, is starting to grow into more than just a nice collection of mp3 files....

lol

have i ever mentioned that mp3 is a licensed format, thus we all have to pay royalties to the original creator who came up with it...

but still had a great laugh lol

Read my post from a recent thread about how we organise our MP3s and see how I do it. By the way, if you read it before, I made the modifications that I said I was going to make.
