I can't quite remember the time but I met electronica with Dj Quickislver...Planet Love Album...it was great !!! 1998 I guess...

Not long after I started listening Dj Sakin&Friends.... but they were still electronica....

Then I got my TUNNEL TRANCE FORCE album and I was into TRANCE....1999 I guess

Lovely Days

Strangely enough, PvD's 4.23.2000 essential mix sparked my interest in December 2001 when I was home between semesters. Then I went out and bought The Politics of Dancing, and haven't looked back since.

I've done a fair bit of catching up on the older tunes, though.

(Though I still often wonder what the hell took me so long...I was 18 at the time.)

I got Addicted to trance in March 2002 and it was DJ Tiesto's Magik6 that changed my life musically

1st time listening to any "form" of dance music was about 1987 with Larry Levan and Tony Humphries back in the NY Old School times. Same with the detroit scene, trance not until about 90-92. 1990 was much less complex but i still considered it more electronic then what was currently around. I must agree though that age of love - age of love was one of my early favs.

i started listening to it back in 95 and since then.....it has been a great 7 years!!!!

Posted by jc on Oct-01-2002 10:01:

'95 thanks to robert miles

1993 but I knew it as 'Techno' back then. It wasn't till 1995 that I actually started to label it as 'Trance' and got fully addicted. Genre classifications back then were a lot different to they are nowadays.

Posted by dj_mdma on Oct-01-2002 10:41:

oooh, I'd say Mid-97 to Early 98.

It was stuff like SAsh's Encore Une Fois, Ecuador, 1998, Ne, La, etc etc that got me really addicted.

And i still hold stuff like ALice DJ - Better Off Alone as contributing to my cause

Posted by NetX on Oct-01-2002 10:49:

93/94, everything still labeled as Techno back then. But really going crazy and travelling around the world to catch PvD, Tiesto and the likes around 99..

Cheers
