Yeah this shit... It's basically why I went so heavily into older progressive house and trance around 06/07 when I first started getting serious about electronic music.
There was just nothing current that sounded any good, and going back (through most of the stuff I started out buying) it's just fucking BAD.

lol it's always funny to see how the tides change. minimal was good when done right
get some Konrad Black sets...he was always one of my favorite minimal djs
this isn't minimal but its from around that era, need to shut up people saying those years sucked, hell i got into the music around that time.
Good one, guy.
It's stuff like this that made me throw my hands up.
And then say "fuck it" and walk away from electronic music.
What a bunch of bullshit.

This is the thing in my library that is labeled Minimal...more DJ tool than a track IMO.
There is a lot of great minimal techno out there, it's just the majority of it is from the '90s and sounds somewhat different:
Yep.
Konception is great, glad I was reminded of it.
This is the type of trash the local Atlanta "techno/house" heads were into when I first started getting into electronic music.
As Scoots Magoo put it: "Sounds like the destruction of a rubber-band factory".
*bumps K*

Tim Green was actually pretty solid the last time I saw him (2013).
