I really have no idea what Nord is getting at with that vague ad, but I'm sure it's not a MIDI controller, and I'm not even convinced that it's a new synth.

I just bought myself an Omnisphere.

Pretty sweet and still learning it.
I now need to buy another set of cans for mixing, as the AKG's I bought didn't have enough low range for accurate bass monitoring, making my mixes sound really crappy

I'm moving into a new place soon, and if the room/place is right I'll be getting some monitors and a new audio interface.

I saw Waves had some crazy Xmas specials, so I'll wait until the next sale or Xmas and thenm perhaps buy one of their plugin suites.

Yamaha have some real cheap ones now, with the same keys as their more expensive ones. The inbuilt samples are shit though.

check out rekon. They do vst editors for synths. I program my own in lemur but i'm super duper smart

Even the synths with knobs, i don't touch them. I use editors because my fingers , well who knows were they have been

msn - i paid 300 and 100 for one that was broken but just needed an easy power replacement which my buddy did for a hand job.

I'm really digging the idea of getting an iPad and Midi Designer. Finally a way to mess with the 1080 that doesn't involve rage and teeny buttons.

midi designer is kinda shit.

But ya, it will take you 8 hours to make your own template for say the blofeld / virus / type synths. And when you start adding say a page with macro controls. shit be ill.

I kinda resent paying so much for an iPad, but I might get a 4th gen one on Ebay. 32GB will be enough as I won't use it for movies or music playback.

Picked up Fxpansion Bloom recently - very nice delay with a ton of useful modulation possibilities, can do the old tape delay sound as well

e.g. you can use the Envelope Follower to modulate the delay time so the time will wobble initally if you send a transient type sound to Bloom on an aux track
