Started with an some techno (an Umek track), and built his set nicely, with peaks at about 45 mins (Rank 1 - Awakening), 90 mins and 120 mins, with Ligaya. Set up the crowd PERFECTLY for Armin, who then played one of his best sets ever (and not just cos I was there and fucked; I've got soooo many of his livesets and this topped almost all of them). So Jules kinda faded into the shadows a bit, but I really enjoyed his set. If that was shit, then I don't know anything about trance.

hey thanx a lot for that post man, thats exactly what i wanted to hear

Well the last 3 times i have seen him he usually starts of with the uplifting trance. Tracks like darren tate - opera song and matt darey - Moody. Then he goes into his more hard trance, dirty bass as some people call it, but still trancey . Tracks like E-Ject - 'The Pressure' and Punx - 'The Rock (Yves Dureter Mix)'. Then he goes into his techno end, tracks like Fuct camera, and Pos 51.

So they usally progress to a stomperthon, raising the atmosphere well. But i would say that.

So expect the set to go from soft to hard. But it is usually pritty trancey

Oh and his radio shows usually go from funky house (his roots) to full on trance, usually involving female vocals, and then to the more harder trance.

Some of jules's favourites tracks over the past few years

RBA - No Alternative
Ratty - Sunrise
Push - Strange World
Dumonde - Can U dig it
Hi Gate tracks obviously - he is part of it
Angelic - Again involved in the production with his wife and darren tate.

If u tune into his show on saturday: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/dance/judgejules/

Listne to the last hour, and he will play most of the tracks in his set, that he played in the last hour of his show.

Hope that helps a little

He cant do live sets for anyone else because he is contracted with Radio 1. JJ is an entry level DJ and he is happy with that, he will never move on from the cheesier side of things.
