Amen. If he was at DD he would've been the one up on SkyBar without a doubt. Canada Day was always his thing too so it won't be the same if it happens at LOL or later. The only thing I don't miss about those parties is how many people they used to cram up there. I recall the last few years of Lawler's sets that I wasn't able to properly dance until 8AM

maybe even 35 and 45k for the respective days, Sunday seemed busier but there is so much space there and the stages were nicely spread out. For anyone curious about attending DD in the future and reading this, the Youtube videos and ta reviews don't really paint enough of a image of how picturesque and well-run the festival is.

Kotsy, too bad I didn't see you, I left at 11. I thought it was very hot at times and the sound was good (not great) but for once it didn't matter as the set and the people made for a memorable gig. There were some cool air conditioned spots so the heat was bearable, in any case

This weekend was right up there with BeB and BPM as top events in 2014 so far, Capriati at Stereo in May being up there as well for me personally.

Lots of kids there but they were in the non-vip areas of the Main and House of Boom stages, mostly.

I feel for those people waiting... that shouldn't happen, it was ridiculous. The searches needed more people for that size of a crowd. After that it was all RFID, which doesn't make any sense... it should be speedy.

I was bracing for the pay with wristband option to fail, not something like Willcall, which should not be an issue three festival editions later. The rest of the festival was smooth once you entered the gates but that wait indicates that the festival still has some major bugs before it can be considered world class.

Maybe people will consider paying the $5 charge of having your bracelet sent to your home months prior.....

No doubt. I had the bracelet shipped and got into the festival in less than 5 minutes. No lines and no wait. Went as smooth as silk.

Apparently there was another $5 charge to get back your money from your wristband as well!

My wait was 10 min day one and about 35 min day 2 (4&530PM arrival, respectively)

Danny Tenaglia was the most wonderful experience involving music in my entire life. I was loving every single second, some tracks I completely lost my mind to. Happily, my favourite track of the night was caught on vid if anyone knows it.

I got there at 11:30pm to catch some of Nathan's set which was really good! Left at 10:30am after I couldn't even stand anymore. I never thought I'd be able to be a part of such a wonderful event. Ryze was off the charts, it wasn't too hot, the was just enough room to move, the lines were always fast and BEST OF ALL they didn't allow flash photography.

Definitely one of the best nights of my life.

he is working on a new mix cd so maybe it will be on it
he played it friday night in nyc as well. he also gave a shout out to toronto saying "you guys kicked his ass" ha ha ha

just going to stop reading danny reviews... still feel bad for missing it. i made a hernan review thread but i may have deleted it can't recall now. i enjoyed that b2b actually. i was very drunk but nick warren didn't really seem to be vibe killing anything to me (i read the review in the mtlta section) easily one of the better club shows in the past while. took a break after the villalobos debacle lol. hernan always delivers every time I've seen him so ill just keep going to his shows

also i said nature of music were crap for sasha, but for hernan they were really really good. ten walls was the same day at coda but tbh i don't get the appeal to that style. lately every time I've seen an 'in dj whose hot atm' I've been disappointed. anyways theres not many DJs id see over hernan at this stage.

PS ryze next time you book a marathon set plz post it in advance so i don't waste money on some next shit that would not come close to danny..

So DD ticket sales do their best!

eh i suppose. i think it wouldn't effect the sales so much being on the monday a full 24h after, but maybe some promoter hint in the future would be nice id do both still personally. kinda sour after reading all these positive reviews.

Yeah it's the trombone/ horn track and then the Age of Love sample is on a different deck. I want the horn track so damn bad, I friggin lost it when I heard it. Watching him play the air trombone was pretty fun too. I love when a DJ has a bit of fun too, he's great with his hand motions.

Good thing for your is that Danny liked it so much there is hope for the future.

Weird how so many people hated Warren in NYC and more recently at Stereo Friday night. I thought Nick was great behind the decks at Ryze all night. At the beginning Nick and Hernan would play quite similar. Where Hernan stuck to his techier prog, Nick would start to venture/veer off with some tracks that would just burst out of the speakers, soaking everyone with melodies. He got a bit experimental, like he was playing more with his soul and then Hernan would come on and reel it back in to a more defined sound.

I dunno I just thouht that they complimented each other quite well and enjoyed the music thoroughly. I'll definitely catch them again.



Pretty bummed that I missed out on DT last week, sounds like it was one for the books. Cannot make the same mistake twice!

Glad to hear this and if C&C ever decide to do a 12hr marathon set like this, I would actually give them another shot in Toronto

Would love to see Ryze step up and do this kind of thing once in a while with Danny, C+C, Dubfire, Loco, Carl Cox, Sasha, Hernan, etc etc

Also, nice to see all the large fans fans at the back of the club. It was quite busy but barely hot atall unless you were in the thick of front dancefloor
