As I expected, it sounds like the original but with PvD trademark beats and bass. Nothing special, really. Personally I prefer the original, with its fresh breaks and chill atmosphere.

The remix sounds ok with the added bassline but I think the original is way better. Thanks for the sample share.

I would tend to agree. The bass and melody seem to conflict somehow. It would fit into the rhythm of a PvD set, but by itself I don't find it as pleasing to the ear as the original.

Yeah I noticed, your monkey is having one as well...

hmmm its ok. Nothing special.

He has just changed it from being a track that can be played at the end of a mix to one which can be played virtually anywhere. Doesnt do too much for me.

Thanks

Thanks Scott.........

Like you said......The PVD bassline with Wavy Gravy on top of it

Actually the original itself sounds pretty good live.........

Nice track by Sasha

me like, me like...

although i was expecting a bigger build-up... but it's still pretty damn good

You have to see the story behind that!

Paul like the original but it was not fitting in his sets, so the only thing he wanna do, was to give the song another beat make it a bit more danceable in a Paul van Dyk set! Thats all, this he said also yesterday in his radio show!

He don't wanted to make a really "Remix" of that song he just reworked it a bit!

Here's a sample:

Enjoy and opinions please.

Can someone tell me why people keep refering to Nothing But You AKA Arctic when they are completely different tunes ?

Unless I'm completely mistaken Nothing but You has a vocal that you can clearly make out and then kicks in and is hard as f*ck and Arctic just has a dreamy vocal over a trademark Van Dyk bassline ???

dont take me as an anti PVD person, but i thinks its shite compared to the original.

I just heard the sample, And I must say, That this is quite an amazing remix by PVD, I always wanted to hear how the track sounded with those classic 4x4 beats, I hope other djs/producers out there are making remixes for this wonderful tune.

I say this as a PvD supporter -

Why is everyone flipping out? It's just an added bassline!

Oops. Clipped that one after you quoted.

Anyhow, I think I'll wait until a good remix comes out. I mean this barely qualifies as a rework.

First of all, thanks for the sample... was looking forward to hearing this since the original is one of the best tunes this year... anyway, I don't understand why people are wetting their pants just because Paul has added a different beat and a bassline... he could have used a little more time and imagination on this one... poor effort in my opinion...

Because it's REWORK not Remix. PvD only added bassline because he wanted to fit Wavy Gravy into his sets. He didn't want to make a real remix
