If anyone cares, Alex' last hour got much better. Readhead was quite fun but not the best i've seen him either. I also remember seeing another German techno DJ who i think was called redface, to add to the confusion. He wore a creepy red mask as his on-stage gimmick i believe.

Well that's the main reason I do remember him. Pretty much everyone on the dancefloor was just waiting for him to go away as he tirelessly resumed to shower us with some of the most underwhelming music imaginable. The mask makes a lot more sense in that context, saves him the embarrassment.
