Ya I'll still post definitely not what it once was though. Invading local forums was the best. Being a ta celeb for a bit was fun as well.

6 months shy of 14 years here.
I visit less and less these days, but always poke my head in to see what's going on.......
Almost 5 years. Fuck.
That's probably about 2000 hours. 83 days of my life.
At least.
I promise myself to stop soon.
I guess I'm an addict ![]()

Of the 30 or so forums I've been active on over the last 15 years, TA is the only that has kept going, hasn't made massive changes and still has oldschool regs. I'll still be posting as long as TA is going. |

I always found forums a way easier way to find music and events and stuff than facebook. I'd like to believe that is because they were actually better, and not because I'm an old guy clinging to what I grew up with.
But really, using facebook for party purposes is way more of a pain than forums ever were. Maybe I'm just old, I don't know.

First post in more than a bit!
Good to see people on other sites, but the camaraderie will never be the same as the beginning!
Biz!
Wasn't aware of the emo corner until now.
I just read a thread on there and someone said:
"I hate it when someone walks up to me and says "why don't you just go die in a hole all ready you stuped emo fag"
Not sure why but I found that funny. Especially the misspelling of "stupid"

I was wanted the three fiddy back.
Honestly, I don't know how you dealt with a lot of it swamp;
Just think about all too-crazy-to-believe-but-it's-real stuff that happened on here.
Dave Dresden talking about tits and not knowing it was public, Steve Angello having arguments about shoes, Darude going mental over premixing (my fault lol), The Stylee hookup keystroke drama and of course, sad things such as TA deaths (RIP DA, Megnetonium, Evil P), not forgetting the all time classic: Willhelm Ashleigh meltdown.
Also, several pretty big names in EDM were TA's before they made it big; Gareth Emery, The Mau5, Airwave/Lolo, Airbase, etc, etc.
As for facebook - it's absolutely shit for events, and there is literally no other site that lists what's going on in your town better than TA.
In fact, Facebook is dying. Speak to anyone under 18 now and they just don't bother with it. As a business owner, it's now the least useful social media platform to me.
The camaraderie is very much here; go to the production forum and there's a fierce loyalty among a broad base of regs and virtually none of us know each other outside of TA.
But damn, look at that screenshot; not even 400 members. Now that number is 132k!
Seriously, congrats Swamper, you should be proud of what you have achieved and, in someways more importantly managed to keep in an ever changing industry and environment.
Cup those balls.
