| Originally posted by Looney4Clooney I find it amazing that someone of questionable recognizance can withstand tazing, clubs amd still manage to remain collected to intentionally strategize a counter attack by grabbimg a holstered weapon. They are trained to expect someone to go for the side arm. So how this man managed to do what he apparently did seems a little surreal. The perceived threat might be real in the officers mind but I can't help question the sort of training they get that woukd lead to this. Amd again, this happens so often. This is just another anecdote that is just adding to the pattern that happens too often. |
Wow, story get's weird now.
It turns out the guy that was shot, was wanted on probabtion violations following release from his 2000 Bank robbery conviction and pistol whipping sentence.
Where it gets strange is that he went to prison under the name Robinet but after over 10years in jail, they found out it wasn't his real name and he had stolen the identity of a french citizen who lived briefly in the sates in the late 90's.
So normally when someone is released after serving time for a phelony, they are deported back to their country but France wouln't take him as he wasn't a french citizen.
They actually don't know exactly who he his and have to refer to him as the man living under the assumed name Robinet.
All they know is that he had serious mental issues and held up the bank to pay for his Acting Classes at Beverly Hills Playhouse
