i don't know if they changed their policies about gaining rights to tracks... otherwise it would be really hard to get a track signed you upepd there i think. they offer a service to register your tracks there yourself know, i don't know if this has anything to do with it?
honestly, i don't see mp3.com as my way of living... i just use it to get my tracks online, and that's where all these bunch of hosting sites are for right?
i'm not in favour of mp3.com at all, they once deleted my artist page completely for only vague reasons... i was ultimately pissed off. but still, i kept using it to up my tracks, i don't know why...
why is it mp3.com specifically that makes your tracks sound amateurish? why not iuma.com or ampcast.com? i think pro's release stuff in the open, what else should you do to get your tracks heard if not released?
cheers,
Wim/LW
Ya'll forgot
Ya'll forgot to include Nathan Proffitt. His first release came out on Moonshine recently and was pretty damn good for US produced trance. I had to go looking for him on MP3.com after I saw the name on my distro's order list at my record store, as I knew the name sounded familiar (we'd chatted years ago and even had our respective artist pages linked to each other...)

listen maybe you are right about the mp3.com but if you gonna say that astral projection are not pros then you are an and a big idiot i didn't say yet you are :-) It's not only my opinion but it's true Astral Projection is one of the best goa trance band in the world what they do is pure ART they are amazing anyway I just wonna say i don't like the way you talk about other bands like yahel and trance controll this is not a right way to say they are not pro it's almost to say they suck so be careful about your comments next time!
I think that there are good talanted people on mp3 that do make good trance music and they do have future and one more point i wonna make
to be singed to label does not mean you are something because most of the lables are looking for something to sell there are many great talanted people who have opened their own lables it's not always the best to be signed with lable unless of course it's a big one .

Well let's talk about PPK for a second...

| It was during a gig in Moscow's Gorky Park that Paul Oakenfold first discovered PPK. Whilst playing alongside Norman Cook, Paul was handed a copy of 'ResuRection', which he instantly mixed into his set to an enormous response from the 20,000 strong crowd. It was a hit and he knew he had to sign it to Perfecto instantly before someone else did. |

Another artist that got signed, but I dont know exactly where he is is 303infinity. He actually got signed, because he posted his stuff on mp3.com... I know cause I used to work with him.
I have a friend who is signed and he is on mp3.com, he is AbnerG, and he is signed by a Canadian label i think. He does french balads, not trance or anything.
