Man, long time! I thought you and Mad4Brad were gone for good. I miss Keen4Sheen though. That guy was a riot.

I have a confession.

I am actually Juan Paulino.

I apologize... this forum is the closest thing to a social setting I have ever experienced and I've invested so much money in gear that should have made me a pro by now but have not. sometimes I mix hard liquor with my anti psychotic medication and in fleeting bouts of blacking out stumble onto my computer and say things I think are funny but that that every one feels are abhorrent.

yet regardless of positive or negative I nonetheless feed off the attention.

Lol, I saw a post recently that went viral about this sort of thing.

basically, some girl who had been posting on a busy forum for 7 or 8 years who many people knew and classed as a close friend, turned out to be some middle aged dude.

Only got caught because he was idle for a little while and people were so worried that they started looking for her....the one of the profile photos on her accompanying facebook page (like seriously deep legend) was recognized as a model who had done some stock photo images years before. They tracked down the model and she was like "who the fuck are you people?".

Anyway, turned out the guy didn't do it for malicious reasons, just got REALLY carried away with a fake profile and found that he got way more interaction as a woman than as a dude.

SEE WHERE I'M GOING WITH THIS JENNA_GIRL

LOL.

Sorry I haven't been around for a bit, I've just moved house, so it's been a pretty hectic week.

A few others have said it before in this thread, but TA in general is a very lightly moderated forum, and that's the way Swamper has always wanted it. The users here tend to decide for themselves what's ok and what isn't, and we mods normally only step in if things start to go overboard. This tends to promote discussion, and while it can lead to more off-topic chatter, it keeps things a bit more colourful and interesting.

And yes, don't bother with the "report" button, I think only Swamper gets a notification from that, not the mods. If there's an issue, either discuss it in the thread and try to sort it out yourselves, or PM me and I'll work something out.

And then I'll ban the lot of you.

Yeah, keep it up.

Off the topic (but in a way still in topic ):
Is there a way to change my profile name?
When I created my profile and took the profile name, I didn't know it would create such a fuss being openly GIRL in music forum! I don't want to start over by creating totally new profile But I am little bit frustrated how some of you treat me just because I am openly female. So I would rather change my profile name and pretend to be one of you guys

This makes me so sad. And angry. Way to go, guys (well, just one guy, really): made her feel she has to hide herself just to be treated decently.

No, this is something that disproportionately-overwhelmingly--only affects people who identify as women. Men don't get harassed, they don't get told to whip their dicks out, they don't get doxxed just for existing.

There are like 7 people left in this subforum and all they do is argue with eachother......

You're drawing a really, really false equivalency. And by doing so minimizing the very real problems that women face not just online, but also in day to day life.

Nothing annoys me more than people who get offended on behalf of others.

enough with this feminism stuff.

Yes, men have issues. Which aren't nearly as bad as the issues women face at the hands of men.

So... men shouldn't be standing up for women? I shouldn't be standing up for my mother, my sisters, my niece, my best friend? Really? How do you think these problems get fixed if not by people with more privilege saying 'stop' when it comes to treating people with less privilege poorly?

You are defending an anonymous person on the internet.

You're entirely missing the point.

And.. man-hating? No. I hate that my niece lives in a world where she's automatically treated as less than her brother. That's what I hate.

please.. You're getting on my tits now... You have profiled yourself very quickly as a profesional diversity wanker in the last couple of topics, boy you've got issues. Is there anything life that doesn't offend you? I hate proxy moaners. Might be good to join a different forum, catering more for your requirements? Your moaning is killng the athmosphere here and even makes Juan apologetic. Talk music or move on... Please...
