-- The Ring...scariest movie ever?
Pages (3): « 1 [2] 3 »
the ring is a wicked film... verrrrrrrrrrry tripppppppppppy

first of all, you have to watch the movie in the theater with good sound system to get the full impression - the pc with the subwoofer won't cut and the big screen makes the difference.
second of all, yes, The Ring is the scariest movie I've ever seen so far. i still wonder how it got the PG-13 rating, one could get a heart-attack watching this movie at 13
I dunno about you but if someone was calling me up saying weird shit I'd check the call display and/or call the phone company.
...not scary at all.. if this thing scared you I can imagine what some other flicks would do to you.
thing that scared me was that tom green was able to direct a movie..and the crap that followed...
I liked the movie a lot.
Btw, while it doesn't describe how the girl made the tape, I think it has something to do with the fact that she was also capable to draw little horses on x-ray pictures and stuff like that.
dude!!!
that movie was scarier than my avatar

great movie. definitley scary, but i don't think its the scariest movie ive ever scene. doesn't it make it to the top five imo. have any of you scene the original ring, "ringu". now i heard thats supposed to be scary as a mother******.
im scared to see it....my brother who's seen probably every movie lol he said it was scary and was scared to sleep with his tv in the room lol
i thought it was really good movie. better than most of the other cheesy horrors that have been coming out, like darknessfalls. that movie was horror.... horrible. that movie and ghost ship sucked fat donkey dick..... who would spend the money to make crap like that.....
any how i am sure the original of the ring is better... i think i'll somehow get a hold of it....
i saw this movie at the cinema and nothing special guys
came out laughing at the end... prank calling my friend on the phone... saying 7 days ... hahaha

the movie wanst as great as ppl made it out to be. i thought it was "ok". not exactly scary, and the storyline was okish, but the ending ruined it imo. was very confusing and i had to search on net to understand that the copy of the tape stops u from dieing!
after i watched it i didnt know wtf was goin on ... "was the ladys son the dead girl in disguise" and "why was the boy pushing his mums fingers to make a copy of the tape <-- i thought it was a flashback and she was remembering that it was her son controlling her" but i was wrong!!!
if ur still reading this id be very impressed.

Dood like how old is this post... get with the times.. or pick and number and get in line!
Movie is good but not as good as the japanese original trilogy.
Does anyone have any thoughts on who Sadako's real father is? This question has been bugging me for some time.
Has anyone seen St Francisville Experiment? It is one f***ed up film!
I saw this in the cinema with a friend, and she practically ripped my arm off.
I found the movie to be quite funny, especially during a scene, where this dude in the row before us, says to his friend 'CLOSE YOUR EYES', and I just couldn't stop laughing from that moment on hehehe
was hugely disappointed. and exremey annoyed by this 6th-sense-can-see-dead-people-boy like boy
Dude. I don't know. I couldn't stop laughing in that movie. Especially the horse on the boat that trips when it jumps. Thats classic LOL.
But it wasn't really scary. Movies scared me when i was like younger. now im a man (17), lol. Ok maybe not. But still. Horror/scary movie makers have lost their touch. They need to know how to make really scary movies.
ok ill shut up.
EDit.

I saw this movie in a theater in Decatur (aka Ghetto Atlanta) and the crowd made it much more scarier than it actually was. People were getting up and walking out of the theater after that one scene (you know, the girl in the closet). After that scene I was like "ooohhh..It's gonna be THAT kinda movie..hmm). People were jumping out of their seats and screaming and shit. It's definitely a well done movie.
the ring wasn't all that scary. good cinematography and visual effects, but a lot of stuff didn't really relate and it lost appeal for me.

I think the original Exorcist was the scariest movie ever.

| Originally posted by MisterOpus1 Ok, call me a little slow here, but I just rented the Ring last night, and thought it was pretty good. Some holes in the plot here and there, however, really confused me. For example, How did the tape get made in the first place? What's the tape all about? Is is the girl's nightmare or something? Most importantly, why didn't the lady and her son die at the end? What did they do that was different? I'd really appreciate it if someone explained this to my dumbass. And sorry if this ruins it for anyone who hasn't seen it. Just skip this if the answers are given. |
