Who said anything about pretending?
Being broke? No.
But choosing to work for myself and spending what I earn on travel instead of meaningless items is an ideology I'm very fond of, thank you very much.
You don't know jack, Jack.
Many people can actually afford both. Stuff AND experiences, that's what life is all about! Yay Capitalism!
You can be broke or rich and accumulate shit that serves no purpose other than to comfort and/or distract you.
All about making that bubble thicker and thicker!
What an enlightened dude.
One might argue that the acquisition of "experiences" is no different. There are plenty of folks out there who blow their money on supposed world view changing experiences and are still dickheads.
Whatever you tell yourself to help you sleep better at night, is still a bubble.
It's like OrangestO is in high school and just read Fight Club for the first time. The things you own end up owning you, dude.

I laugh particularly at his "You don't know Jack" comment when he himself has made assumptions of his own. Fuck, people are stupid.
Yes, indeed.

It started when you said "Get rid of the things." If you can't see that in your own posts, and you call yourself a writer, then perhaps you need to start spending your money on education instead of your ideology. Lol.
Yes, those are things in your photos. I suggested to get rid of them.
What am I assuming, again?
And being a writer has nothing to do with a formal education.
This, I have learned.
Well they aren't my things to get rid of, as I clearly stated already. How much money have you got in your college fund?
Perhaps I assumed you'd care to follow my unassuming advice and trash your shit.
Yes, yes. I assumed wrongly. You win. YOU WIN!
A truly enlightened man knows that he can acquire things without making them important or thinking they add value and/or meaning to his life. A person doesn't have to trash all his or her shit in order to prove their beliefs. Unless, like JBJ said, you just read Fight Club for the first time and you think that's what you have to do.
Well, if you don't buy shit to begin with, all of that doesn't matter now does it.
I'm sure you fancy yourself a regular John Nada.
Our nada who art in nada, nada be thy name thy kingdom nada thy will be nada in nada as it is in nada. Give us this nada our daily nada and nada us our nada as we nada our nadas and nada us not into nada but deliver us from nada; pues nada. Hail nothing full of nothing, nothing is with thee.

Omg

Books are dumb, formal education is for suckers.
^ that's why I'm so smart and my iq is sky rocketing. Also by refusing education and books I managed to keep a full head of hair
