It sounds like thats the demo of pro-52, the save and load function is disabled. I think we can upload anything we think is good or useful.

no, it's not demo. ok, i downloaded it over Kazaa but all save and load functions are enabled. i enter my filename and i get file on disk but when loading it's the same as default preset.
don't know anymore, i tried almost everything.

if any1 knows what to do please PM me so we dont waste TranceVisions thread anymore.

Theres a point, what about people like Joi? Can he get access to the FTP? I dont see why not, he wants to help and is active in the forums.

i think joi can have an account as well, he posts frequent here and i think he is willing to produce and will be able to help very soon
if people show their oke and are active, they can have an account imo

so I think if someone we don't know wants to get access contributing just ugly sucking patches ( in order to leech the good ones )we shouldn't let him on the ftp, should we ? It makes no senses if there's lots of crap of people who just send in their raw sine waves to get the Cosmic Gate lead...

but how do we know if someone wants to contribute good patches or bad? should (s)he give one public sound first?

yes...I think that from now on, people should just send or post one or two patches, which proove that they want to contribute something for this community ...

otherwise we get lots of leechers and perhaps some of us feel bad doing work for people who don't share anything, some perhaps don't mind it..

I want you all, who are involved to decide what we should do.

remember, we got now the chance to create a team of people, who can create real phat sounds: awesome leads, pads, basslines...

When we just take EVERYONE who wants to, we won't have quality.
We will probably have quantity.

How about if you want to get an acount you should have to pm trancevision or rahvin or some member of the ftp with a link to some demo patches and if these patches are good enough, rahvin can set them up or the ftp member can pm rahvin telling him to let them on?

Ofcourse there can always be exceptions, i mean if somebody cant post patches but people think they should be on(Joi) then they should be given an acount.

Also, to keep the shit stuff off the ftp it will have to be maintained and rubbish removed. If we all report stuff that we think should be removed then the ftp should stay high quality. What do ya think?

wow...think your going a bit overboard here? haha...making a sound for a lead is not hard. open a vsti, select a saw wav and add some fx haha......shouldnt makin music be a bit fun?if you just make the ftp easy to access people can get on with making music.only the people who are very dedicated will be a threat...and they will know how to make these sounds anyways

Making a lead is easy but making a good, proffesional sounding lead isnt, well i dont find it easy anyway. That virus patch took a lot of time and tweaking as well as 2 years experience programming VAs to get right.

Maybe your right about nobody who leaches being able to make nething from the sounds but its the principal, i dont mind people using my patches id just like to know who they are and hear what they do with them mainly coz im interested. I also like to use and tweak other peoples patches as i think it adds something to your own sound. It would also be nice to have a group of people you can bounce ideas off and who are willing to help you with specific problems who you know are experienced synth programmers. Fuk knows.

no, but making a quality lead which reaches a professional level like ferry, cosmic gate, shokk...is a little bit hard sometimes...

perhaps we can render some sounds in wav files if we got patches for a certain (software) synth in order to access them to everybody...

if this was our job we might have been fired by now........it's taking to long hehe.....COME ON! =) i could have made many sounds by now...we still waiting for an ftp or what? or do i just not have a password?

read the thread, its got the info you need to get on the FTP. Iv uploaded that virus patch now, is everybody else uploading stuff? Do we just keep posting things about the ftp in this thread or actually on the ftp? Rahvin, could you give us an update as to who has now got acounts?

I've uploaded some samples to the ftp but I haven't had time to upload everything that i wanna....school's a killermachine right now :/


and I'm also gonna learn how to program VA's in a short time so soon you might hear not just samples from my side

ive uploaded a few substractor patches and 1 or 2 malstrom pathes so far havtn had any time yet to create more things...

just want to ask if it's ok to upload sample packs (like a synth-sound with samples from c3 to c8 and g3 to g8) as a singel zip file.
ok, if the size of that file exceeds a certain limit, or it's just a collection of different sounds and samples, it's crap. who wants to download 5mb just to get the 2 or 3 sounds (s)he wants? i think this was mentioned here before.
but in this case it's a singel-synth-sample-kit, and i think those samples should stay together.
perhaps, there should be a mp3 with a simple melody, outside of that zip, just to hear what those samples sound like?!

this leads to another question: wav or mp3? what type of samples do you prefer?
some samples CAN be encoded at 128kb or higher WITHOUT a loss of quality. so you won't even hear any differenz between mp3 and wav. a smaller size makes up/downloading a bit more easier.

Right, Ive added some cool subtractor patches, samples (Bass drums, snares & FX) some RNS/RPS files of my own and some cool MIDI files for the wannabe remixers

to me it doesnt matter.. wav is oke and so is mp3 but in mp3 i prefer 192kbit+ :P and sample packs in zip are cool if you ask me.. even better, cos you have to select less (im lazy)

nice you uploaded some midi files as well bren.. im gonna check them out now

edit: have all all of those midi files except for 1 i also saw the one i used for my chicane remix.. guess that makes me a wannabe remixer......thanks bren
