i think your all on crack, most of panama city is probably alot worse than the 'ghettos' or 'barrios' in the states, the only reason why the ones in the states 'might' be worse would be because of the amazing amount of guns they harbor, but its simple, down here they will just use some string, or a knife or rock...its primitive. Also, the bad parts (or so they told me!) in holland and germany, etc, did look like heaven (or so they would look) to a poor person down here. Poor down here means NOTHING, ...no good water to drink, no shelter, and probably an addiction to some shitty illicite drug like crack or what not. Anyways, i should probably go take some pics with a digital and post them. but for now, take care peeps.

steal my camera? fuck that! ..im not going to walk around like some moron tourist with a camera around my neck and get knifed or something. plus, i speak spanish so its alot safer, and if i dont dress like a preppy fuck ill be fine im sure, i have been in some pretty bad places i guess, china town is pretty bad since there is actually a pretty prominant chinese mafia in panama. its insane, this guy on the main avenue in the city, called avenida balboa, supposedly fuckedup with them, and some crackhead fuck, just walked up to him, shot him in the face, got in a cab, and left. They never caught the killer...another dude was dragged down the entire road by his ankles which where tied to the bumper of a cab...that was pretty fuckedup also....and just a couple months ago this priest got his throat slit in this pretty popular church down here, supposedly for supporting some wack group...who knows though, but panama has some pretty shitty groups in it i suppose, but im seriously going to try and find some pictures for you guys, because the ghettos down here are fucking ghetto... as in 3rd world ghetto. but anyways, no i will not take pictures of any crackwhores for you jploverparade! most of them are big transys that would bash your head in if you tried to take a picture of them! anyways, im out of here. peace.

Yeah but these are the statistics from the old Census. In the latest Census New Jersey beat Connecticut. New Jersey presents an interesting case b/c it has the widest gap of inequality too. But if you're from the tristate you know how there are tons of ridiculously rich suburbs all around Jersey (obviously belonging to people that commute to work in Manhattan's financial sector.)

Mississippi has always been the poorest state. However, Puerto Rico is the poorest U.S. territory with an income per capita of about $9,000. So if it ever became a state it would beat Mississippi in this category (i hope it doesn't )

Where did you get newer information? This is from the latest census(2000), and is based on 1999. They only do the census every 10 years and the next one isn't until 2010, so unless you can see into the future then your information has to be from some other source.

If it's based on 1999 then the info is from the 1990 census. I live in Connecticut and i remember how after the results for the 2000 census came out (around October 2000) a lot of people were upset b/c Connecticut moved down from the #1 spot as the richest state, losing to Jersey.

I don't have the info here, I'll look it up.

Holland, country of drugs, prostitution, welfare funds and cheese.

Wonder why all these Americans who wanna do Europe in a month always return to Amsterdam...

Some one did comment on this before but im going to repeat.
In Vancouver there is this place called the lower east side. Its a fair size. A few square KMs at least. It is the biggest shit hole. Its not like any other place I've been before. Its not the most violent. You can walk there if you dont mind dealing with bums, hookers and I V users. Its just has the worst drug problem. I have heard in the media officials from other countries say that its the worst drug problem that they have ever seen. I asume that they are talking about western, so called first world countries.
I have been to Projects in the states. Such as west Phillie and its not like this. Lower east side is just full of down and out people who are addicted to drugs. Its fucked up cause they seem not to get any help but that has alot to do with our drug laws and views on drugs (which I blame on the states, sorry).
It seems strange when you go there cause the Police station and Jail are right smack dab in the middle of it. Only 20 minute drive away from the poorest place in Canada is the richest, West Vancouver. The richest Area in the country. Its Beverly hills Canadian style.
If you ever come to Vancouver go down there to see what weird down and out place it is cuase its like no other.

Manchester in general is a pretty rough place to live, but Moss Side, Longsight, Cheatnam Hill, Salford, Hazel Leas and Manchester Piccadilly are particularly bad. I remember I was on the fone to him whilst he was in Piccadilly and somebody tried to stab him to get his fone.
Then again nearer us Calla, Corby isn't exactly a bed of roses

Aye Corby = Glasgow in Northamptonshire, however Az Corbys just like all the bad areas of Northampton rolled into one small town, the same shit happens in Northampton as there, however Northampton is rough place, but Corby is a nasty place people are violent drunk 24/7, werd though Corby is an orrible little town.

i'm from Greenacre, Lakemba is okay, BRO bro yalla kesatek ayri

The shit happens everywhere like Punchbowl, and the whole Bankstown area.

If you are ever in Australia, visit Bankstown, including Bankstown Shoppinh Square where all the Ali's hang out. Visit the home of happy laps & done up cars (with creative no. plates) just outside the reflections restaurant & city limits.

ah, food for thought... What's ironic here is that all 5 of the richest states voted for Gore, the democrat, while all 5 of the poorest states voted for Bush the Republican in 2000. Odd isn't it, especially when Republicans are considered the party of the rich.

It's not really that ironic at all. It's more of a North vs. South kind of thing. And keep in mind that those same rich states have mostly Republican governors and state legislatures.
