And I mean From the start till the end, add compared to northern exposure is crap...take this with some salt & pepper. But northern exposure is really 10X better then this one, it starts off and doesn't let you go till the end...add starts off well, and after 4 tracks the mix completely falls apart... Dunno if u already heard ne, well if not, listen to it and enjoy |

I can understand you excitement, but I'm sorry mate, it doesn't do anything for me, for me it failed...and I'm trying almost 2 months now to get into it....
It's cool. After reading this thread i personally think that Airdrawndagger is very UNDERrated.
I personally like ADD, but it had to grow on me. It's not something I would play while driving 70 mph down the freeway, or something I would play at a party either. I listen to it while studying, writing papers, or sometimes I just lay back and chill to it. I think some people like to bash it because it was made by a famous dj, and that's the "popular" thing to do.

| Can't say that ADD wouldnt have been as good if Sasha hadnt put his name on it, it wouldnt have gotten as much attention as in "Its SASHAs new album!" but I would still have liked it. |

| Is it so hard to believe that there are a lot of people who genuinely like this? That being said, it's true that the album has gotten much more attention because of Sasha but there's nothing wrong with that. And I also think that because it's done by "Sasha" people might be a bit more willing to give the album a chance to grow on themselves.. I mean, I wasn't all that impressed after the initial spin but I wasn't ready to give up on this album so easily after all that waiting... and I'm glad I didn't. Album of the year, period. |
it does come in singles, if you buy the 3x12 vinyl set of the album, i think it comes with less tracks though, 1 less i think, i only have the vinyl album, pretty good if you ask me
bah.
ADD is a pretty good album, but this masterpiece and "ahead of its time" stuff is crap.
you want a masterpiece? A CD totally ahead of its time?
Hallucinogen - Twisted
released in 1995
beats the shit out of ADD.

The album doesn't flow well enough to keep my attention throughout it, so everytime I listen halfway through it I just put it off cuz it bores me. Just wanna say most tracks on it are quality but the album in his "whole" is very dissapointing imo. I think if the album wasn't done by "Sasha" not even 1/4th of the people who like it now, would have liked it... Just my opinion. [edit] I heard this album is made as a single track album and not as a mix...So I put my words back then, he'd better just put all the tracks apart then, like bunkka, I always thought it was a "mix". |
This Album requires Musical brain to fully understand !! Yeah sure this ablum isnt for dance floor but perfect for chill down !! Amazing album !! Its not Overated at all IMO

I think ADD is a masterpeice. It's not anything to dance too, but its still great listening. I dont know if its ahead of its time, but its one of the best cds to just chill out with.
DJ PiO did it perfectly. The album is amazing. Its so different, I dunno, I truly see a lot of true quality and talent and expertise in it. I don't care if its not danceable...this is to ravish your mind, not make you break a sweat. But do I think it's Sasha's best? Well, compared to his mix albums...I could argue both ways
And when I first got the album, I too was dissappointed. I bought it and popped it into my cd player on my way back home on the subway, and was really...dissappointed
But I kept giving it a chance and from listening to it once every 2 weeks...I listen to it every other day or better
It's a great album, if you don't like it then thats too bad
You're truly missing out on an incredible journey...
Rather than jusge the album, judge the singles. Forget the mix cd of ADD, the main part is how amazing the tracks sound in a set rather than all his ADD singles mixed together.
Sweet album.
IMO this cd is great for what its meant for; siiting in your office doing work, or sitting back smoking whatever it is that you smoke.
Or better yet going on a road trip, this compilation is pleasant to listen to~
Mixing is great, production is mint. 9/10
Cheers,
