Hehe, same here. I use it to show off sometimes, but not in the middle of the dance floor, cos I know how much it would pee me off if someone else did it.

Posted by Biohazard on Oct-31-2002 20:59:

Oh now i get it, i saw that in one of the GCSS Movies

looks cool

Posted by Roach on Oct-31-2002 21:22:

Thats something like liquid dancing aint it?
The video was ok... of you add a couple of glowsticks in between the fingers then it will look pretty cool.

Posted by The Highroller on Oct-31-2002 21:25:

wristbending. hmmm ive never heard glowsticking reffered to as that before.

glowsticking with strings = glowsticking
glowsticking with hands = glowsticking

if you are really intrested in this "wristbending" and want to learn more give me a PM and ill help you out.

its called wristbending because you do it without glowsticks.

and glwosticking sounds a bit crap, even "spoogying" and "waffing" (as ive heard it called sumtimes) sounds better

and id liek to see u try and teach sum1 hwo to wristbend peopel never get it rightm u just gotta keep messing with ur wrists till u accidently do it then u can do it forever!

yeh thats what i do sumtimes, othertime i wristbend and do other dance moves, i think it is definatly liquid dancing as its called over there.

glowsticks in hand=glowsticking
glowsticks on strings=glowsticking or glowstringing or poi
no glowsticks, but doing the hand motions=liquid

The consensus seems to be that many have messed with glowsticks/glowstrings at one point, and now grow tired of it. I'm with the consensus. I used to love it, esp. glowstrings. I got pretty good with it at one point, having a "master" of sorts teach me the ropes, so to speak. We would both do it together, and freak the hell out of the tweakers at raves. But like some have said, it gets old, and it takes up too much space. I still like to watch others occasionally, provided they are good and fluid with their motions. I'm mostly a dancer/wannabe liquid guy now.

Wow i didnt think we had that many Poi:ers in here
Ive been Poi:ing for half a year now...for those who havent seen it there is a video clip of me Here in another thread Its not glowstix though...(fire)

I love poi:ing with glowstix, it lasts longer, doesnt burn, and gives you a frekkin cool effect on the dancefloor...escpecially if you use my "Ultra elite double glowstick pois"

Would be cool if i could meet up any of you Poi:ers on a big event sometime and exchange som trix and moves....Poi:ing just becamse my life...

Oh im about to get into "behind the back weaver"....right now im mostly practising my moves...how to move while doing the trix...bending down on my knees during some moves etc etc...
My brother is doing the craziest of them all...dunno what its called but you start off with a butterfly....then you put your head in and let them spin once around your neck...after that you quickly pull your head backvards and let them spin out to normal again...this is fucking crazy with fire. one misstake and they will spin 3 times around your neck, first chocking you and then putting 2 fireballs in your face lol

Glowsticking gets tired the more you get into the rave culture.

I agree, I used to love glowsticking when I was still getting into trance and hosue etc etc...I don't do it anymore cuz nothing really makes me go 'WOW' anymore....it's just kinda eyecandy for a club/rave

yeah thats pretty neat... i think its cool when people wrap alot but mystyle is more fluid so i hardly ever... jsut a personal preference as far as moving i like doing the thing where you go from foreward to backward [going across your body] and then transition up to an overthe head corkscrew thing... and then coming back ddown so its like this continuous circle that moves in a circle around you

elmo:
yeah im never really impressed with any ones glowsticks either but im still into it mainly becuase i enjoy it...more like something i do for myself than anything becusae its so relaxing

Oh you mean during the weaver? I love that to...spinning it above the head when getting it to the other side..looks great...
I also like to just spin around and around doing the weaver..you know what i mean? Like turn 720 degrees while doing the weaver and on top of that you go to knee position and up again....sounds silly but looks great

Posted by DjJade on Nov-01-2002 20:26:
