If you had to eat dog you might work like one too. I don't know where such an expression came from. I never seen a dog work. They beg from you and sleep half the day. It be more appropriate to say "pan handles like a dog"

To be fair, it's not nurse money. It is a lot of cash and it may not always be there. Take it take it.

The Lira household went to Amazonas Theatre, and we saw a German pianist. First time I've ever been to a proper Opera House, and it was quite nice. We had our very own box!

Find someone who looks at you the way I stare into the nothingness next to he piano

Posted by on Apr-24-2016 10:10:

Please tell me you didn't wear sneakers to the opera

Ah I get it. You mean like, consistent earnings and pension, blahblah? You have no pension? How does stuff work like that over there? Now I smell what you're stepping in. I think. Lol.

Posted by Lews on Apr-24-2016 11:05:

Well, if he's running his own business (teaching English to older Chinese women, if I remember correctly?) it's doubtful he'd have any pension, other than what he sets up.

Lira, don't you have any, you know, adult clothes? Half joking, half serious question

And what was performed?

Self employed. Work for myself, as well as get cuts for placement. Shit is a bit crazy. Steady? Haha...I'll go for steady payment and a pay cut when I have to move back to broke ass Canada to send my son to school.

Pension? Really? Haha...i paid into that in Canada and have RRSPs from my time working there. Im not planning to cash in on it. Dead at 60 sounds nice.

Don't forget I am supporting 2 other people 100% in a place where the cost of living makes yours look like a joke (in the house your hubby's parents gifted you).

Silly women.

In canadian pesos i clear really low 6 figures....the problem is, a first tier Chinese city is expensive. I pay 2300 canadian peso per month rent for a very average 100 square meter place in a gated complex. So my rent is about 30k canadian pesos.

How much do you make again? You bought your first car in your 30s so it can't be much.

Posted by Dykes_on_Jay on Apr-24-2016 11:36:

Lews, I don't deal with the Chinese, if i did i would have split ages ago. Terrible twats. Deal with Koreans here for managing manufacturing.

Posted by Dykes_on_Jay on Apr-24-2016 11:51:

Have also kept my drunk promise. Japanese whiskey > *

Posted by Lews on Apr-24-2016 12:27:

Hey, at least I remembered the self-employed part

Surprised to hear rent is that much for you, that's almost as much as I pay (in London).

What Japanese whisky you bingeing on? I wouldn't say it's uberalles, but the best is certainly as good as the best from other places. Unfortunately the recent recognition of that fact has pushed bottles into the realm of pure ludicrous prices. I imagine the bubble will pop soon - I certainly hope so

Nothing quite like watching two aspirational COR-whores duking it out over who has made the better life-choices.

Posted by Dykes_on_Jay on Apr-24-2016 12:44:

I'm pretty sure I lost on that one. This whiskey is still unimpeachable. Yamazaki for life.

Posted by Dykes_on_Jay on Apr-24-2016 12:53:

@lews.

Yeah, rent has gone up here in the craziest of ways. I live in a central location, so it is more. Work is never more than a 2 usd taxi away and 5 minutes. God bless cheap taxis.

The housing prices have risen to incredible levels. Think 100k cny per sqare meter (exchange that to whatever denomination you choose) + 30% down payment.

Was not like this a few years back. This is the manufacturing hub of the world and China's silicon valley.

Bubble economy. 10 years from now, it will be in flames haha.

Bubble economy means bubble prices for my services. Get it while it lasts.

It won't.

Work nigga work.

Posted by on Apr-24-2016 13:13:

I'm self employed so I know the drill. I don't turn down work either but I don't have to deal with 9 to 5 cubicle hell. In the Usa most jobs are no longer pension. You just need to be smart and put enough in a retirement fund as you go.

Posted by Dykes_on_Jay on Apr-24-2016 13:44:

I'm saving and investing, i just am burning out.

Time is limited. Every cent i make is coverted to usd in a prompt fashion. I hate my life. Someone asks me to do something, i do it. Time off doesn't pay for my little chinklet's education.

No vacation in 4 years. I'm going more crazy than when i was broke , on coke and posting pics of my dick in azia's mouth.

Anyone still have those pics? I wantto see if i've shrunk.

And lews...Jap whiskey is better. It makes you type furiously on your veranda

Posted by Dykes_on_Jay on Apr-24-2016 13:45:

Im also sure that the meat in my dinner isn't what they said it was.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Apr-24-2016 15:59:

Fair play Jay, take it while it's there. At least you're honest about the shitty parts (after imbibing the Japanese fire-water, at least). Jenny has never knowingly admitted a flaw in her life.

My job pays pretty crap but it's very low-stress and it doesn't bore me at all. I graduated in the nadir of the recession, and my mini-generation is perma-fucked on the wage front for the rest of our days. I've got mates who are 2-3 years older than me and they earn 5k+ more than me doing very similar jobs just because of when they entered the job market.

I have a life philosophy of minimising my out-goings, minimising things like my commute. I'm going to start cycling to work this summer. 20 minute commute, zero travel expenses. I don't earn great money but I save quite a lot, and still have money to travel, eat out and go clubbing when I want. My girlfriend and I are starting to save for a deposit on a property. We should be able to get a deposit together in the next two years without having to cut our expenses elsewhere.

Lol, I'm not sure why you have to take everything personal and turn it into a pissing contest. Insecure much? I'm genuinely curious to understand what you mean.

Furthermore, I think it's tacky to talk about how much money one makes. I earn enough to live within my means and enjoy my life the way I see fit while saving for the future. I am a minimalist and don't buy more than what I need or blow my money on meaningless shit like clothes and shoes and handbags.

No, I'm just not dumb enough to reveal too much specific personal information on here anymore. You can think whatever you want about me and my life, your opinion makes no difference.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Apr-24-2016 17:32:

I know more about your two jobs and have been subjected to more pictures of what the inside of your house looks like than anyone else on here. Even seen wedding photos, for some reason. And no, none of this is gathering digital dust in some pervy sub-folder, IGK style. You put loads of personal info out there, just the self-congratulatory stuff.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Apr-24-2016 17:42:

Yeah, because I don't consider TA a dumping ground to talk about my problems. I have my friends for that. I share the good stuff because it's good and people generally prefer to hear good news. I don't trust you people, so why would I share the most intimate stuff? Are you really complaining that I don't whine about life on here? Fuck off.

I was waiting for someone to go there. I've really never seen anyone bang on about their life that much then protest to the same degree that they don't share personal info.

If other's opinions mattered so little, I have no idea for the need to share everything. I thought this place had turned into a Bridal site when the wedding happened.

No matter what anyone says, grab that coin if it is presented.

Too rich for more money? Even Bill Gates would laugh.

This is the truth, the whole truth, you can't handle the truth...

If you are fertile, Jimmy boy is going to forgo interesting things while he pays (on his forklift salary) for a little Jenn Pie and for you.

It's going to suck so hard for him, and he is going to resent you.

The thing is, if he is a real man, he is going to shut up and listen to you complain.

I'm not sexist (per se), but this is something you will never live.

You are the basket. Other people fill that shit for you.

You're already pretty old to be a mum. May your first child be a masculine one.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Apr-24-2016 18:05:

Good lord you try so, so hard. It just doesn't work anymore. I'm sorry we can't have a normal conversation.

Posted by Dykes_on_Jay on Apr-24-2016 18:09:

I'm calling you Slylee from now on.

It is relevent.

Sure, you won't like it...however, life sucks, wear a helmet.
