For me Dj Tiesto is the best! I really enjoy his sets...and I hunt the net almost every day to find new livesets I am not qualified to judge his mixing skills, but he sure is a crowd pleaser!

Like Buster from Club Space Miami said in the livset from 20-10:" Dj Tiesto has this entire crowd of 3000 ...by the balls" ))

Now i am not a big tiesto fan, infact i hate him (but i am not gonna be tiesto bashing) this is his moment. but what i will say is that

59. Matt Hardwick

is the biggest disscrace of the lot, he is god and should be atleast top 20, has anyone herd is essential mix this year?
i am most please about armin! finally he gets some world respect that he really deserves

Last night, October 31st, at the DJ Magazine �DJ Top 100� award the new annual DJ top 100 of the world was anounced. Ti�sto was officially elected the number one DJ in the world.

Ti�sto, who was at number six last year, is the first non British DJ to win this prestigious award. Last year Sasha, Paul van Dijk, Paul Oakenfold, Danny Tenaglia and John Digweed were held in higher regard. Now these gentlemen will have to grant Ti�sto the honour of being the best DJ in the world for a whole year. Tijs Verwest, as he is known in real life, won several Dutch and international awards, earlier this year. He is currently touring for 5 weeks in the U.S. hitting all the major cities. In Las Vegas he was informed about his number one position and immediately launched into celebrations. He was extremely happy with the result and very surprised, despite all the awards he won this year. T��sto:`This is like my ultimate dream come true, becoming number 1 in DJ Mag�s top 100!`.

The DJ Mag top 100, which was held for the 8th time, is the worldwide standard from which to measure a DJ�s popularity. Since 1993, when the Top 100 was first published , it is the list used by promotors, clubowners and organisations to determine who will be the most appreciated artists for their crowds. The reason why it is so highly regarded, is that the list is completely unbiased and compiled entirely from the people�s votes. It is the most respected, valued and feared DJ chart in the world. DJ�s who have been on the number one spot are Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha and John Digweed. From September 6th untill October 10th the people could vote. DJ Magazine will be available worldwide in stores today.

Dood, dont you understand that the votes are based on WORLWIDE votes? has matt hardwick ever toured ? come to the US or other countries as a matter of fact? I know, for what I heard, he is a good DJ, he is a resident at Gatecrasher, but, where else has his been ? he is not into the categories where he fits, as been asked WORLDWIDE !

Now, Im pleased to see DJ tiesto in the # 1 category, now that means something, significant.. the music.. we cans see that trance its still the most pleasing , and wanted music, shows that its not dead at all, and it will keep going ! ! ! Im happy for Tiesto, I was able to see how his career in 1998 started through Innercity, and now, 2002 he is the WORLDS best ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Nice Nice Nice !

Well dont tiesto, you realy are a numpty... first you try and make more money off of your 2 best productions... but you fail cos you tried too hard to make them comercialified that they sounded like a bag of shit.

although old tijsybaby's sets r pn the up slowly but surely now.... they were however.... really boring and terribly poo at the start of this year... and also thru the end of last year...... sumhow he managed to tarnish his outstanding reputation in gatecrasher as god..... now people .especially crasher kidz hoo adorred him... now they cudnt give a flying fuck, because his sets were boring and seemingly unconstructive... i have seen tiesto about 6 times now.... and ill never see him again. unless by fate he is playing at a night that im alreddy going to... yep thats right tijsybaby.. until you start playing like you did on last new years eve in gatecrasher when you played a 'trademark set' and blew the place away. you will have to get used to an ever tarnishing reputation, and will have to put up with posts like this being wrote about you.

If the jeremey beadle of trance music judge jules can make a steady comeback so can you.

matt hardwick has been everywhere, he tours for crasher with scott bond and crasher want their dirty mits on the whole worlds money!

he is more worldwide than most dj's about today, he even has a residency in finland @ labyrinth

Well i really dont see the point in getting so worked up over such a stupid chart.

For one it is a huge popularity contest, it does not go on technical ability, tune selection, or affected the dj has on the crowd.

It is mainly voted for by 12 year olds who listen to livesets, and read about these DJ's, so have no experience of a club, or a festival and hearing DJ's live, and seeing how they build the crowd, or in tiestos case - bore

Anyway i think it is a waste of time even looking at it, this means nothign to me, its a popularity contest, not a reflection on the DJ's skill itself

So i really couldnt care less who won!

well u know tiesto is number 1 when presale tickets to his gig sells out in 3 DAYS 3 weeks before his show and that never hapens here in the us for a DJ..people usually dont give afuck overhere about dJs so thats why he is number one popular as fuck.
