Nup, only had 2 decks and 1 CDJ1000. I watched him very closely and he only had one record spinning. I think what he did was exactly the same as what was played at Mysteryland 2002 (17.08.02):

Oliver Lieb - Subsonik (Filterheads Remix)
Blank & Jones - Suburban Hell (Mixed with Punk Samples )
Ferry Corsten - Punk (Original Mix)

"I'm on my last stretch on the MOS tour with the last gig in Melbourne tonight. It's been an amazing tour and the people have been equally amazing. Thanks for all the support and more importantly having a blast when you come over for the party. Just saw in Adelaide a guy with a home-made tsunami t-shirt with all my AKA's on it. Wicked!"

BTW, I still reckon it was a new remix of Ligaya. The Melbourne people just confirmed my suspicions.

Of course I'm correct - I can't believe you ever doubted me Anyway, I shall definitely be picking up that vinyl, since it has the Airbase remix on it too.

I heard the airbase remix wasnt being released on vinyl cos he didnt complete it on time, so thats why he released in on mp3 to everyone. I'll def be buying it if its got the airbase remix on it.

I think it was the Rank 1 remix that wasn't released because the guys didn't finish it in time....

Are you sure?? The maybe its both? (lets hope not).
Nah i remember reading in the amateur section, Airbase started a post giving a link for his remix of trhe tune cos it was never going to have an official release. I very much doubt he wouldve authorised and made his song an mp3 if his remix was being released on vinyl, cos i remember that other time Swamper got flamed by Airbase cos he shared his song and Airbase didnt want it shared.
Anyway, itll be interesting to see how it shapes up.

Hey i was just listeing to ASOT 58 tonight, the 4 hour one with Ferry Corsten. Correct me if i'm wrong Dowlz, but the first song Ferry played here in Adelaide was the first song he played in his first hour of mixing. Unfortunately, it is just called 'Unknown Artist- promo'. Also, i remember hearing 'Soundcheck - Minddrive' in the first 3 songs he played.
I could be wrong, but i'm positive he played at least one of these 2 songs. Help please dowlz.

Posted by DJ Dowlz on Nov-13-2002 02:05:

Gee you're stretching my memory now! But now that I think about it, I think he did play that unknown - untitled track. And I guess if he started off his ASOT episode with it, that makes it more likely that he would start off his Adelaide set with it too.

Not certain about Minddrive though. I think I would have recognised it if he had of played it. But maybe you're right. It could have been while I went and grabbed the bag of records. See, you know how you said that he played Tillman & Ries - Bassfly (Moogwai)? I don't remember him playing that song, and trust me, I would have been able to ID that song in 0.5 secs (I've been looking for it on 12" for ages). So maybe he played it when I was getting the records.

Smiley DJ

Just as I thought the excitement couldnt get any better, I was one of my freinds come across this on resident advisor

"Last but not the least Melbourne was a good way to end the tourIt was a warm scene and Im glad one guy gave me the Gouryella track to signI didnt bring a copy in my record bag so thanks to the guy who gave it to me if you are reading this note. It was great song to play as an encore." - Ferry Corsten

also DJ Dowlz got a mention in the article too...

"Adelaide was good as well. To that guy, who asked me to sign this piece of paper saying that Im number one thumbs up to you man!!!"

Woohoo! That means that 100% of active posting Adelaide Trance Addicts are on personal terms with Ferry Corsten. I'd like you to find another city with those kinds of stats!

BTW, this is what he's referring to:
