| Originally posted by Zharen I miss the cold. We've had one of the hottest summers in California in a long time. Mid-June and July we had around 40 straight days of 90+ degree temperatures. And then we got hit again around Mid-August with about 2 and a half weeks of nothing but 100 degree heat, and that heat wave wasn't just localized to Sac, the whole Bay Area suffered as well. Even San Francisco had a couple days of 100 degree heat, and that's unusual. This past week has been pleasant though, just mid 80's and a few low 90's. But I would say that most Norcaler's are ready for Fall to start. |
British summer is bad enough, but imagine how fucking bad it is in Leeds. The average high in July here is 19C. It's the one blight with living in the north.
I've been out and about pretty much all day today, and for the most part it's actually been warm and sunny. But even then there was a 30 minute period where it absolutely leathered it down out of nowhere, and I was left cowering under a tree in a park until it abated.
