Even in LA where we usually get cooler nights and mornings, it's been a brutally hot July and August, with it not really going lower at night. Around 100/37c degrees for two weeks straight.

It's nice now to be back in the normal flow of hot days but cool nights.

Although reading jack's post about the UK summer I'm not complaining lol.

British summer is bad enough, but imagine how fucking bad it is in Leeds. The average high in July here is 19C. It's the one blight with living in the north.

I've been out and about pretty much all day today, and for the most part it's actually been warm and sunny. But even then there was a 30 minute period where it absolutely leathered it down out of nowhere, and I was left cowering under a tree in a park until it abated.

As a southerner, I can tell you there's many good reasons not to live in the north
