Producers styles change over time, I mean, look at what Oakie used to do, and compare it to 'Starry Eyed Shyte'

Lots of producers tend to stick to a specific sound (Dumonde, Flutlicht, Barthezz, Scot P) and some do it better than others (Heaven's Cry's new one is PANTS IMO, too similar to TTDUP), but I like what Scottie boys up to at the mo.

By the way... his remix of Arome - Hands Up! was originally harder, faster (i have the sample) but he changed it the stupid dick! He slowed it down and made it so so so boring.

From then I just havnt listened to any of his stuff cos I know it will be the same..

Since Jamies gone to a lot of trouble i'll help explain for the smaller minded ppl...

the style he used to produce was good, not so many uplifting melodies etc but now there are and imo i love them but a lot of the sets he's played lately are all identical, I do think hardtrance in general has a lack of creativity at the moment, people need to be innovate like scot himself WAS 3 years ago and we'll all be happier

Getting back to the thread, when i first read the title i thought it was gonna be a load of bollox. but after reading it, and listening to city 2 city - sound overdose (scot p remix) i'm gettin wer ya comin from. The city 2 city remix is lacking a bit in my opinion, it's still a corkin' tune, but it's just not as energetic as say Second Trip like u mentioned and seems to be too much of a similarity to the recent uplifting stuff. By no means dus that mean I'm gonna stop listnin to his shit, cos it's still top quality, I just wish he'd make sumthin' really energetic and bangin (not neccesarily ruling out uplifting) for his next production...

lets just say that from all his sets i have in germany/holland.etc.. his sets all seem harder than what they do here in england. this is because ppl in the uk arnt as 'hardcore' as the germans and the dutch. A little trend i have noticed.... the more that scot p started playing over heere, his sets were ever changing more and more... and getting more uplifting , as were his productions.

first time i saw him live was in february this year, he dropped tracks like:- marc van linden pres. madagascar - this way (derb mix), hardcore will never die (derb mix)....all hard tracks like that an used to play all his great old stuff at the end of his sets, like second trip, and the such like ..... noe hes playing stuff like art of trance - madagascar (kumara mix)... and then all his newer productions which arnt as hard. ill leave you to discover the trend in that.

and how you say that technoboy, giada etc are copying off scot p.. thats the biggest load of shit ive ever heard from sumone who claims to know so much about the topic. giada, and technoboy and trance generators are italian hardstyle..... and how you say 2nd trip, and modem etc are non-trancey..... i dont know what mixes of them you have been listening to pal.

please tone your next reply down mate, i aint arguing with you. your right, i dont know what is going on in scot p's head.. neither do you, so you cant argue with me about that. the facts are ALL written above mate.
