Before I replied to this thread, the last time I had posted on TA was in 2014!

Facebook killed forums. TA is still all pals but we were shooting the shit on Facebook for a while. Now while we old people (not teens) are still on Facebook, it's truly tumbleweeds compared to what it was even 2-3 years ago due to shitty algorithms. So I came back to see what people were doing and what nights I might not have heard about.

Although now that you said this now I gotta go look at the New York/East Coast Forums to see if any of my pals from my college days in DC are still on there! NYC TA's showed me the best of times when I went up there for Armin Only & Club Love almost a decade ago.

Man good to see you still here. Between a career and family the good old days are hard to come by anymore. I'll be lucky to get out once a year to an event

Right here with you yo! It's very hard for me to get out. I have to schedule something far in advanced. Luckily, we have a few in October and one in November. Other than that... it's netflix on Saturdays nights.

Oh yes, that daddy/mommy life...

Our son turned 12 this year, and were just starting to go out again and leaving him home w/o a babysitter. No family close by, so nights out were rare as babysitters (that are trusted friends) can be difficult to find for a Fri or Sat night. :-/ So either she went out, or I went out.

Anyhow, it was awesome because we'd had been missing out on going out together so much!

Surprise! now we have #2 on the way, due around the New Year.

Looking to move back to LA area next year because my wife has her mom, sister, best friends close by down there, etc....more babysitters. :-)

having family around helps A LOT! We're in LA and all of our family is up north so baby sitters are hard to come by.

Look at all of us TAers!! Grown up n shit!

Bro. I dont know if you knew, but Lyndsay had a very special part for you in her heart.

One of the times she almost peed laughing, was talking about the names. Blurrtastic this. Dj Blurrrrizy etc etc.

I had never seen her light up like that ever. She taked about how you would play all the time for her at Ruby Sky and how much fun you were and how you made her laugh.

I had to mention this, because like I said just her thinking of you would brighten up her day.

I dont really believe in after life, because Im really not sure. If there is, hope she sees this thread and you to put a smile on herself.

Nero!!!!! Man.... Thank you for this, as the tears well up in my eyes im typing this out...

I saw her the week of her passing and said Goodbye. I called out her name and I felt she knew I was there.. Both Rizo and I went.

Rizo is still out here, we all just got a whole lot older, and with alot more responsibilities.

I miss her brotha. She was a unique soul and one bangin female Dj with a heart of gold. VERY special times indeed those were. Lyndsay opened my heart up to different genres of music. Especially House. Girl could throw down no doubt.

We returned back to 1015 last yer for Trancefamily7. I dedicated my set to her this night, and played the same room she used to hold down for us when she played there with us. I asked her for strength that night and simply "babe bring me people"

If you guys can see this... The only time I ever saw the front room that packed.

This was when we returned last year for reunion. Dyloot, John Beaver, Mars, Taj and I. They called this room the Legends of San Francisco room.

Being a Dj for this long, its amazing the people I have met over the years, Ill be eating or out and someone will recognize me. Its still kinda cool.

Ill check out TA too from time to time and tap in, I havent ever forgotten about ya'll and hope we can get the West Coast forums more active again.

Not just Facebook, but Instagram. (see the first post )

Facebook killed most of the message boards we used and they're never coming back

The other shift: all of the DJs I followed/liked are not as big anymore, stopped touring or are overshadowed by the mainstream/pop EDM DJs.
Nothing wrong with that but just means I'm just old.

Anyone up for a round of J00F Open-to-close at Spin in January?

Me!

Speaking of stories...I remember a third Friday at the 414 room at Ruby, in December 2010 or 2012 I'm sitting with blurr and Lyndsay and turns out nerologic is outside trying to get in. So blurr is like "who is that guy" and Lyndsay describes him from TA, and the facts that he's got this nearly cold, and blurr is like "fuck that don't bring him in!" Eventually Lyndsay went downstairs and brought him up. I remember staying an extra day and she hosted both of us and then rode back south with andres(nerologic). Not sure why he started to beef with me, but he was at her place in SF a couple summers ago and she middle womaned a reconciliation, that was summer before she passed.
