Rasta

Does anyone know Ticket information yet??

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Nov-17-2002 10:42:

King_Mac: check out www.goldclubseries.ca and then go to the calendar section and click on Tiesto@KoolHaus on the 14th of December. A small window pops up displaying info about the Guvernment but it also says that tickets will be $25 in advance and $35 at the door. I imagine the advance tix will be available through ticketmaster in the coming weeks and hopefully at those off beat music stores throughout Ontario (like FROM MARS in London and Dr Disc in Hamilton).

$35 Early Birds .. ?!? ooouch and ewwww.. aww man this one's gonna cut deep into the pocket. man can't miss a guy like Tiesto but when tix are that much and the place is gonna be packed like sardines u just can't help but hate urself buying tix .. man .. greedy Guv..arggz...

Posted by brunette on Nov-18-2002 14:44:

No, it's $35 at the door..
$25 advance

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Nov-18-2002 14:55:

I believe I said that in my previous post....$25 tickets in advance available through ticketmaster and then $35 at the door, of which there will be plenty I assume. Still, I'm buying my ticket in advance where ever I can find it. Sometimes Guvernment event tix are sold in offbeat music stores like From Mars in London or Dr. Disc in various cities.

It's just a better idea to get an official ticket because...no matter how late you show up in case of a car accident, speeding/seatbelt ticket or really bad 401/Toronto traffic, Guvernment employees cannot deny you entrance if you have a ticket.

25$ ? that's it ? I'm surprised actually, I think tickets cost more the last time he was here, and he wasn't even #1 back then, so he must've been cheaper... I guess Benson & Hedges are paying the majority of his salary that night..

I'm getting the tickets the first day they are available, no question about that !

Well, actually, it doesn't really matter how much Tiesto is getting paid that night, because the ones who dictate the ticket price are the clubs themselves... so, if you see a price of $35-40 per ticket, it's not really because Tiesto costs that much, but because GUV wants to milk their customers as much as possible!

(The fact that the ticket for his performance in Calgary is only $15 should clarify this for you... I don't really think that Tiesto has different rates for each city in Canada!)

Posted by Durafei on Nov-18-2002 17:38:

Actually, I'm 100% positive that his rate in Calgary in the middle of the week is CHEAPER than his rate at Guvernment on Saturday.

Posted by rubyriva on Nov-18-2002 17:58:

think that there will be tickets at the door?

i don't mind paying $10 more. just want to make sure that if i drive all the way up to toronto, that i'll be getting in.

little rumor flying around that marco v is making an appearance in nyc on the 14th. conflict of interest...i'd have to go with marco v cause i've never seen him.

Posted by Durafei on Nov-18-2002 18:00:

I'm pretty sure there will be tickets at the door. Just make sure you come a little early.

that might be difficult as well because we are coming from nyc (armin at roxy), but hopefully i'll know if the big bad rumor about marco v is true

Posted by Durafei on Nov-18-2002 18:10:

In the worst case, I'm pretty positive that ticketmaster will still have tickets even a week before the show. By then, you should definitely know whether Marco V will be in NYC. Hm.. Marco V Vs Tiesto is not an easy choice. But yeah, if you've never heard Marco V, Marco V it should be

Posted by rubyriva on Nov-18-2002 18:12:

yes, if i have to make the choice of who to see, priority goes like this:

pvd over marco v
marco v over tiesto

sucks that there are such conflicts though

Posted by Durafei on Nov-18-2002 18:14:

Yep.. conflicts suck!
That's why we should all go to a party like "Gatecrasher Summer Sound System" so that we can see all these and many more DJs at one big party

Posted by ACA2000 on Nov-18-2002 18:49:

well don't complain because I'm going to see him at Aria in montreal on the friday night and tickets are $35 advance and probably going to be $50 at the door. we might make the venture up to TO depending on weather and stuff like that for the saturday too.

Posted by King_Mack on Nov-18-2002 19:13:

Rasta

But isnt Aria generally more expensive? Last time I was there I got raped on funds before I got through the door hehe.
And..I got an email from Aria saying that Tiesto was there about 2 weeks ago...a promotional email. Was this true? They are gonna have him twice??

Posted by ACA2000 on Nov-18-2002 22:57:

no that wasn't true.
they sent out the flyer to everyone on their mailing list 2 weeks ago though. that's probably what it was.
