what i need is a damn! live p.a.!!! i would pay anything for it same goes for rank 1. and that is a coincidence. :P both dj's of both duos are named piet :P

they're PRODUCERS.. not DJ's.. give em a break.. they play as DJ's cause its prolly easier to perform their stuff.. instead of carrying their gear everywhere

haha very weak argument my friend "they play their stuff cuz they can't carry the gear everytime"

Posted by DJArekTripleSL on Feb-08-2003 01:33:

its not a weak argument.. its the truth.. most producers only "spin/dj" to get their name more recognized.. obviously blank and jones are more producers than DJ's..im sure they're more concerned about making wikkid tracks than learning DJ techniques.. i've booked alot of live acts and alot of dj's before.. so i know wut its like... when we booked darude last year... it cost us an extra $5000 just to bring his gear in... most promoters dont wanna shell that out... so they ask producers to "spin"

Posted by fastmp3 on Feb-08-2003 01:36:

ya ok i trust you , btw can you bring us darude in here ? we love darude

hehe..i dunno where u get yer facts from but thats not true, most live performers are very prissy and will only play on their own gear, cause all the knobs, loops, samples, etc are pre-programmed to their liking, so why would they play on rented gear? doesnt make sense..

Posted by discojoe on Feb-08-2003 22:15:

actually here I found it:

The same kinda flight was 4500$ cheaper with Air Canada because I was able to buy the tickets over here and I was not able to with their company.
I finnaly decided to buy their fucking expensive tickets and sent them a message to call me for my credit card number. They never called me back and by then sent me a fax of the RIDER wednesday, this is 2 days before the event. Shit, I will post the RIDER and you will see by yourself if I am crazy or not.

5 different kinda key boards X 2 = 10 key boards(almost impossibe to find in Montreal).
A new computer with Q Base, some special sound cards etc...
36 channel console just for them
2 DAT machine
and some more euqipments I do not remember!
I tried to call them so many times, they never came back to us.
Also the guys were really arrogant with us.

I have produced a shit load of bigger artist than them and they were 100X more easy to work with and more cool than these guys. I hate artists who think they are GOD.

We really hate to cancel artist but sometimes it's going to crazy. But for sure we tried to not cancel this show and we were ready to loose money instead of the cancelation but...

But we are really sorry for Astral Projection fans, this was really out of our controll.

i know it. even richie hawtins said it. he used to rent one of the drum machines he used on his sets and he says eh doesnt cause in someplaces it's hard to find it for rent. and you can't travel with much gear, remember it's usually a tour so you need your clothes and your vinyl, etc. an example? go to infected mushroom website www.infected.co.il and chek the pictures. in some you will se the keyboard version of the nordlead they use, and on some other pictures you will see the rack version.

like here for example:

see the red nordlead. keyboard

same nordlead but rack version on top.

hehehehe chill chill

I think the problem is that people deem it to be cheese once it becomes mainstream. This shouldn't be the case but it is. Also people just get sick of it after hearing it everywhere. I don't think its a matter of cheese but rather just getting sick of hearing it. same thing with 9pm till I come - ATB, imo its still a great song, and I enjoy it more that its not on everywhere. anwyays, my humble opinion.
Another thing is that some of these dj 's (atb, darude etc..., ) everything sounds the same, all their songs, so to all us prissy trance people when someone plays darude now its embarassing (to us), but to most people (random club people) they don't care, and they're just in it for a goodnight out, some tunes they may recognize and some shagging at the end of the night (not that any of us aren't getting it )

good point alec
