Addison groove last Friday. They had to kick him off the decks at 3:05am. The venue he was at closes at 2 lol. I was lucky enough to hang out with him for an hour and a half before his set and we just shot the shit. Amazing dj, really. Top tier. And a cool dude.
Portola festival this coming weekend
Aftershock the following weekend
For the "old" people

Wow! Drumcell and Shoddy Lynn! I haven't seen those 2 names locally in a long time.

Going to the afterlife event on Friday at the LA state historic park! time to dust off my boots!!
Also going to Afterlife this weekend. (Saturday evening)
I'm hoping to read some reviews of Afterlife. I used to like Tale of Us a lot when they first came out. They got a little too trancy for me over the years though. I don't mean "tiesto trance" but big epic break downs that go too long. BUT, I still they're great and apparently put on a great show these days.

| Originally posted by 72hrpartyanimal I went to that venue once and it was a pain in the a$$ to get out. What did you think of their music? A lot of people (haters) have said that their visuals take away from the music. Wondering what everyone's thoughts on this are. |
As this years music season comes to a close, my numbers are in:
28 full sets/shows at venues
95 full sets/shows at music festivals. 31 partials.
Total 123 full shows, 31 partials.
Its been a good year (& you cant tell me that were not the best era for electronic music)

| Originally posted by 72hrpartyanimal haha! no Sasha although we reallllyyyyy tempted. For DM, I'm in section Floor 4, row 10, seat 7. Got another ticket on Floor 6 section, row 10, seat 3. We're actually trying to sell them. but if we don't sell them, we're going!!! |
We ended up going to both nights. Absolutely FANTASTIC!! There is no band better than Depeche Mode.
We also did the Forever Midnight event on Saturday, 12/30. Honestly, most of the acts were a complete bore, except for Ame and Dixon who brought in their big sound. It's the only act that we actually listened to. Kaskades redux was crap. We caught the tail end of Greenvelvet who is always good and left shortly after Fisher started. Only reason we saw even a bit of his set is because we were waiting for friends to meet us so we could leave.
