Bas has a family now, still dj'ing, etc. We were hanging in Detroit this past spring at Movement. Clovis opened up the legendary Need I Say More party on Memorial Monday morning; they did a Visionquest vs CDV thing. Good times continue to be had by all.

I think I remember people making fun of his wife, and him posting a lot less after that started. Don't want to blame anyone, but it's a mistake to post a pic of your wife here to begin with.

I'm not sure if he posted the picture himself or if someone dug it out from social media. Basically he was a complete dick to people but then it turned out him and his wife were Mr and Mrs Neckbeard, and that was the end of that.

Mr Mystery has actually had some success with his Static Guru alias, often making it to Beatport's Hype playlists. Not too shabby.

Demoted and another member (I only remember his actual name but not gonna use it) made the Krysta101 alt and persisted with it for quite a long time. They used this alt to befriend DA and led him to believe she was a real person. They chatted with him and developed fake intimacy over MSN or whatever messenger and he developed real feelings for this "person" (he often defended "her" here when she'd get flamed). When they came clean/were exposed they made fun of him for it all and it was a major factor in his suicide iirc. The timing was right around the same anyway. The amount of time and dedication they put into the whole thing. And then showed no shame or remorse. But not surprising since it turns out Ted is also a multiple offense drunk driver.

I knew about one DUI, which in itself is bad enough, but this is some true lowlife stuff, what the fuck? I had gleaned enough to know he commited suicide, but I had no idea this was why. I would have seriously considered shutting down the forum at that point, but he isn't even banned?

I realised Ted was a scumbag when he started doing the transphobic shit "outing" nefardec after his sex change. Now don't get me wrong, nefardec was an insufferable pompous prick who needed deflating, but that was fucking low. I can't remember how I reacted publicly and I have no way of finding the thread, but I hope to hell I made it clear how shit that was.

It wasn't the sole reason why, DA struggled a lot before all that. but it definitely timed with it and contributed to the end.
