Tiesto has always been one to take time over the mixes hes done. Except Gatex but he just wanted to make the original more club friendly. Its easy to see for anyone that these mixes arent tiesto, they are not tiestos style, if they were tiesto he sure as hell would've been playing them in his sets. However, they are not and although I cannot provide you with the 'proof' you should be able to notice it anyway if you open your ears like a true TA

Well I think he didn't make the remixes of Moby and St. Etienne, which we're probably talking about, to spin them in clubs or festivals. They just don't fit there. Usually he plays at 'top time', say from 2-4, so he has to spin energy and no 'sleepy' songs. He has to get the crowd moving and that won't work with the Moby remixes.

Also I find these remixes typical for his 'new' style. He said he changed direction a bit and was experimenting with producing. He even made a breakbeat remix of Elvis Presley's Burning Love.

However, I get your point and I can understand if you don't like his remixes, but I'm still saying he's not cheating on TA's by letting others make remixes for him.

Mate this is Tiesto, he played 'DMB - The Space Between )Tiesto Mix)<--a sleepy tune
Peak time as his 1st tune and Talla 2XLC had just finished with 'Microbe - Xit 2 Nowhere (Mind One Mix)

So thats you're theory out of the window, Tiesto doesn't build his sets anymore, hes gone very random, and its a shame

LOL. Well, you kinda got me there. But I still think his remix of The Space Between is kinda different from his remixes of Moby I don't know how to say it well, but The Space Between is more likely to be played in a club than e.g. We Are All Made Of Stars. It's very hard to explain. However IMO he made the remixes himself. But it's true he has trouble building his sets. Sometimes he's kinda like Johan Gielen and that's absolutely no compliment

madonna

u guys realise Tiesto didnt remix "Nobodys Perfect" it was a bootleg done over the top of a trouser enthusiasts remix.. so the vinyl containing die another day and nobodys perfect, i hightly doubt it.

Cheers.

Nick

Thumbs up

Thank God Oakie isnt popular, so the old 'Oakenjoke' 'he doesnt produce his own work' 'he sucks' 'lets start a flamewar' can now apply to Tiesto.

Thanks X-Hale! now only if you put that much effort into music you DO like!

As for the remix...ill still think the Deepsky remix of DAD is the best, until i hear evidence otherwise...and feel dirty for having a madonna song on my computer|

His black hole studio boys do most of the remixes at his request, excluding 'Gatex' and 'Tears from The Moon'

I'm tired of people giving tiesto so much credit for things he hasn't done.

Also as a DJ hes become very poor, believe it or not he was my favourite DJ last year but it seems hes forgotten how to mix, and he can't even build a set properly, the structure is all over the place.

+on the subject of him being a great producer he hasn't even produced a single this year?

Where you get this ? prrooooof plz !

Actually Talla 2XLC had just finished with his version of 'Can You Feel the Silence?'. Not saying I like the DMB track, I think its shit. Just letting you know what actually happened.

Ignorance is bliss. You don't know what you're talking about. I had a lengthy conversation with Tiesto himself about this and he told me he produced by himself in 2002:
1. Paul Oakenfold-Southern Sun
2. Roc Project-Never
3. Umek-Gatex
4. Conjure One-Tears from the moon
5. Moby-Extreme Ways
6. Junkie XL-Breezer
7. Madonna-Die Another Day

and he had the major producing role in:

8. Klea-Tic Toc (Magik Muzik rmx)
9. Dreamcatcher-I don't wanna lose my way (Magik Muzik remix)

Hey, I think these are all alright, in fact, some of them are awesome.

The funniest thing is that you say you can tell these are not done by Tiesto because they are shit mixes, implying that Tiesto is indeed a good producer.

And you call Tiesto's NEC Gatecrasher set cheesy nightclub music???? I wish all cheesy nightclubs had a DJ that spun music like this. Tiesto's track selection was superb to anyone else's that night, by far.... at least from the recorded sets.

Well done DJ Pio! Finally, the tribe has spoken...

See how people here enjoy lurking here to take a piss on Tiesto and his remixes'not'being done by him and talking about incurring legal problems publishing what? Your idea of calling a Tiesto a human being driven by greed to make remixes of big name top artists?

Please...before one speaks, one thinks. But I am afraid in your very case, you have already labelled Tiesto as being an unstructured, train-wrecking DJ, money sucking remixes in your mind...

So if you have any balls at, and I mean IT, at all, take it to Tiesto himself. Publish your story here....I double dare you in fact! I am willing bet US $ 10,000 that you wouldn't dare take that side of you to even Tiesto himself as he's simply too a friendly chap to be taking pisses from you unsucessful trance DJs wannabes.

As for the 10K, I'll put up an auction UP for it on Ebay once you have your story published here...haha, let's see who getting X'ed here?

Show some balls and less of your trash talk, you double talking jive!

JKX!

I'd be suprised if Tiesto actually did the remix himself, since most remixes hes done this year havent been his own work.

But most you 'tiesto lovers' are too clueless to know that.

I know of only 3 remixes this year that Tiesto did himself.

Anybody who says Tiesto is quality needs to have a good listen to 'St Stienne - Action (Tiesto Mix)

OMG its possibly the worst tune I've heared all year.

The fact that you don't like Tiesto's work doesn't make the people who actually like it clueless.
I believe that you should be more open-minded ! Every artist has his ups & downs, nice and poor releases ! Tiesto usually delivers quality tracks, sets, remixes !
Music is something personal and everybody has a unique taste! There's no need to argue about Tiesto or anyone else

You mean their remix of Symsonic?

Was I talking to you? Don't think so.
Going to mind your own business? Hope so.

Besides I was a huge fan of Dumonde, I almost own every of their older works (just a few missing), but their "new" style I don't like.

Hi-Gate - Saxuality [Dumonde Remix]
Jam-X & DeLeon - Mind Made Up
Jam-X & DeLeon - Can U Dig It
Jam-X & DeLeon & Tom Wax - Louder, Softer

Disappointing! Using their old style would have made a killer tune out of Saxuality, although I love the Original! [But not the Sax of course].

Kaylab - Here We Go [Dumonde Remix] is still one of my fav. trance tunes! But that thread wasn't meant to discuss about Dumonde, so

I think the statement about Tiesto not producing a single this year meant his own original work, not remix's.

As for his NEC set, things have been blown WAY out of proportion. The fact is he was VERY good that night, and his mixing was nowhere near as bad as people are making out (though those that weren't there have to remember that what was broadcast wasn't the entire set). In perspective thought, MIKE made just as many mistakes as Tiesto that night (I'd even say MIKE's was more noticable, he mixed a tune in on completly the wrong beat!).

Tiesto does need to work on his consistancy but don't go overboard about the NEC mixing because in truth, it really wasn't that bad at all!

person who dave quoted: dont get me started on tiesto! you jsut dont wanna knwo all the facts ud probably cry.

dumonde may not be as good as they were last year but they sure havnt plummeted to a murky grave as per say, mr tiesto. then again we all knwo tiesto doesnt make his own tracks so...

just because sumbody isnt as popular with all you lot doesnt mean theyre worse. please think.

bye.

No need to be so big mate, just making a point.

For you that werent there at the nec, you didn't hear tiesto, mixing gatex, failed really poorly. Stopped the tune that was playing and start gatex from the begining

Yeh Tijs is a real pro

Yeah i heard his mixing @ NEC was poor! But this you mention could happen to anyone dj they are all humans and doing faults! Remember the starting of AvB @ Godskitchen Global Gathering...

Yes but Tiesto's mixing was poor on several occassions, Armins was class and he came on straight after.

I do remember Armin @ Global gathering coz I was there too but he soon picked up.

Tiestos set was poorly built and he played 'silver bath, overkill, and la rock 01, which were all played in his last nec set in april.

Sorry but that for me is not the set of a number 1 DJ
