ok the melody is great (copyright albinoni..who died)

Indeed!
This should have been the new Gouryella track!

I'll have to agree with the guy that said that Ferry should get some credit for this. This is indeed a heavily Ferry-inspired tune. Those synth-waves smell like Ferry from a looooong distance, but still,I think this is every bit as massive and uplifting(if not more) as any tune the uplifting wizard himself has conjured up during the last years.

For those that say it's too classical... Is that bad? I think to say that it is, is a little narrow minded.

Anyhow, I think this is a awesome track, with a one of the most euphoric melodies I've heard since Barber's Adagio... Wicked..

Posted by annon185 on Nov-23-2002 21:24:

sounds like a ripoff from william orbit's adagio for strings remixed by corsten. just a different classical tune was used instead ...hehe

Posted by Ste on Nov-23-2002 22:17:

awesome track, classical music influenced similar to barbers adagio!

Posted by AnotherWay83 on Nov-23-2002 22:41:

i dunno...i think the track is just alrite, nothing to go crazy over...

I agree, I downloaded it expecting a massive track but was severely underwhelmed. Average at best, I'm afraid...

Really an amazing tune......I don't really know why all of you are saying that ferry should get the credit for this, just because of the bassline?

Anyways there is one similarity between this and ligaya. Both tracks were classical pieces that were reconstructed into trance anthems. I'm surprised no one noticed that this tune is not original.
But either way, I would really like to find out the name of the original classical tune, and the composer that this melody samples from.

To sum up all I've noted before in the Tracklisting Forum about this track:

Release is set for February 10th next year on Anjunabeats
Remixes by Above & Beyond and Super8
Produced by Above & Beyond

Taken from the classical piece Albinoni - Adagio (From Galipoli)

Greetz,

Holy jesus this tune is massive!!!!!!
definatley a Ligaya-killer!
A & B do strings now!?!?!? HOLY GOD its too good!!!!]

any word on a release?

Posted by discitelli on Nov-24-2002 03:47:

i think ligaya is a more unique track, this however, as so many others have said, is alot like Ferrys corstens remix of barber's adagio for strings......... but ..................

IT STILL OWNS ME!

no one ?

we've noticed this in the beginning of the topic .. the original track is 'Albinoni - Adagio'

52% of the song downloaded..download in progress...

cant wait to hear the track..OMG this is killing me..

I love the classical melody. The breakdown and buildup are amazining. However, I don't know if its the Track of the Year ATM. This track doesn't sound very original, but it does sound nice. Or maybe its just me. When I first heard Ligaya, i didn't think much of it. I thought it sucked, but after hearing it a couple of times, i LOVED it. Maybe the same will happen with this track. I'll listen to it a few more times and I'll probably love it and think it is the Track of the Year.
