Gielen gets another vote. he isnt that good. but i must admit that his TE2002 set was freakin Unbelievable! energy!

and btw, you who say Paul Van Dyk: i'll bash ya so hard that ur mother'll need to bag your head to even dare kiss you goodnight! So dont think about it!

Tall Paul

People think the man is the greatest but he can't mix.

my vote goes to ferry corsten he bores u eventually

we're talking about DJing, not production, and Gielen is extremely overrated
I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I want to hear somebody play with the FX over the top of Jurgen Vries - The Theme, I'll do it myself
Tiesto is extremely overrated also
I don't think Corsten has ever really been rated as a DJ, skills wise anyway, maybe as a producer (not IMO tho)
Oakenfold did go through a stage when he wasnt as great as he was, but he's certainly getting a lot lot better

Tiesto
Judge Jules
Mauro Picotto

way overrated imo, mainly because they find it difficult to mix 2 tunes together.

as for the swiss, how can natron (from Flutlicht) and Giotto (from S.H.O.K.K) be overrated? they hardly get booked outside oif switzerland??

i dont think that scot project is overrated... but he has soldout slightly...

for my most overrated DJ>.. id have to say armin...... ive seen him about 4 times. and each time he didnt really amaze me.... im not saying hes shit.. hes good.... but hes not half as good as ppl say he is..... hence. overrated

[N]k|[Z] awaits his bashing

her tune selection is really great, and her mixing is spot on from what ive heard

TIESTO!!

when he came to israel he had major difficulty to mix RALPHIE B MASSIVE to SOLICITOUS FURTHERMOST ...

Posted by NDS10 on Nov-22-2002 15:49:

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Sasha and Digweed. They are so overrated and just have been awful when I have see them live.

I also second the Oakenfold votes. He was great once, but now he sucks.

how can mauro picotto be over rated? He ownz all of us. Although his mixing isnt mind blowing, his sets are SICK. His style and the tracks he drops makes my heart skip a beat from so much bass. When he drops Baquette, riots erupt.

Tiesto. His music has no real hands-up quality anymore.

yea...tiesto used to be amazing...then he did the same thing as oakey did...at least oakey has had a decent rebound...but i think his cd ruined that...sasha is a bit underrated in my mind

This is a ridiculous thread, it should be called "Djs that you hate most" or "Djs that you are most jealous of because they are more popular than your favorite Dj"

No no, don't get me wrong. When I first got into it, I remember buying once of my first trance CDs which was 'Global Underground Paul Oakenfold in New York' and he quickly rose to be my favorite DJ. But at some point not so long ago, I just think he may have let the fame get to his head, and it began to affect his ability to entertain me, as he once did...

couldn't have said it better myself

I can believe that. No need to explain.

Sasha and John Digweed are not overated in my opinion. I have heard them live and its magic. Someone might say this because they are expecting an uplifting set but its a completely differnt type of music and feeeling to it.

I'll second that Mauro Picotto owns all of us. His sets are full of destruction! So hard its disgusting and he wasnt always this hard. When he throws baugette , headroom- hunt , shokabuku , and all that tribal acid techno shit , its beautiful.

When this topic comes up the only dj that comes to mind honestly is just oakey.

Posted by Kimmi on Nov-23-2002 17:19:

Oakenfold has gotten to be kind of dull as of late. Can't say I like any newer songs...
