some true facts there but i disagree upon Deep Dish & Nick Warren...for some reason i avoided DD all the time coz while listening to there sets they did "feel" boring but i had my mind changed forever about them now. since i seen them on dec 6 of last year for the GU party, i have never heard such an fine-excellent house set in my life these guys tore the shit up for 8.5 hours non-stop! never under-estimate a producer especially like DD Nick Warren is about the same, his mixing is kinda weak, but the musik he plays is really also 1 of the finest breaks/housey/progressive sets this is a topic you can go on about, but really there is no need for that

And by the way - I have NEVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE met a DJ that was more boring than DICKWEED. I saw him at Area2 and few times in in Twilo. IMHO, I thought that he was a complete bore and his interaction with a crowd was at 0 - on all 3 occasions that I saw him.

the only good thing about DIGSLEEP was Bedrock - Heaven Sent

blah, lamer...go boil an egg

John Debo played here in October and had a great set before sasha and I usually have a hard time stomaching progressive. He was very enthusiastic and played some really nice bass heavy and vocal tracks.

The worst DJ in the world is BT...The man should not leave the studio.

Amit, don't make me come over there and smack you

Look, to each his own... I feel that part of the pleasure is the crowd reaction not to just the music but to the DJ. Perhaps I cought Digweed on his "bad" night... but 3 times at random??? Granted, he has superb mixing skills, but as I stated before, on those nights he displayed absolute absence of any charsima... As a matter of fact, on those times that I saw him he looked as excited to be spinning as a McDonald's drive-through clerk punching in your order of big mac and fries. Here, for just shits and giggles imagine the scene:

Your local McD's... A man in his 40's is on the register. He stares at the register poking buttons and shifting his gaze around the counter. Raises his head, looking into nowhere as the line of people are waving and screaming at him. With a totally emotionless expression he presses few more buttons and goes back to staring at his register, occasionaly shifting his drive-through ear peice...

Now, imagine that man is Diggers..... C'mon just of a second, wasn't it funny?????

Ok, I'm gonna go back to listening to my "bouncing off the walls, deck trashin', hand wavin', silly muppet - Armin van Buuren"..

P.S. I guess I must have had my expectations way up high, especially for DJ ranked as #2 in the world by his fans... Dunno.... everyone has an opinion.

p.s.s. Amit, shouldn't you be flaming some pissed-off PvD hater??? See you at PvD and Armin...

P.S.S.S.

This is not a "prog hater" statement . Anyone who attended Area2 in Philly could tell you these facts:

1. Digweed came on and spun for 2 hours right after Tiesto
2. People all pumped up from Tiesto stood around for at least 30 minutes waiting for something to happen, but it never did.
3. When Tiesto was in - the tent was packed to the limit, Diweed emptied out about 40-50% of the tent within first 45minutes of his set. Granted, prog is not for everyone but people who did remain in the tent sat down.... SAT DOWN!!!!!!!! THIS WAS NUMBER 2 DJ IN THE WORLD AT THE TIME!!!!!!! Track selection was more ambient than prog... Now, next comes on Carl Cox and just tears the fucking place to shreads!!! I never danced so hard (completely sober) and considering I am not a big fan of prog/house/jungle/hard trance - Carl Cox had me jumpin' like a mad man! People were going COMPLETELY NUTS! I didn't want to leave the tent but Moby was comming on and I just had to see Moby... but I left with heavy heart...

Reason why place was going nuts????? Coz' Cox was jumpin', dancin, running around and doing crazy shit to pump up the crowd... he was using probably nothing more than a drum machine and some sampler (with turntables, of course) - but it left a deep impression that said "WOW"... Digweed left impression "Blah...." That's my re-cap, people who were there, "Can I get a witness?"
