hmm, you didn't go to Tiesto @ Roxy right? It was pretty much the same crowd as PVD but twice as many people went for PvD and twice as many fuckups too. Like it or not, in NYC PvD is way more mainstream (ie. popular) than Tiesto.

good point - you are right i didn't go. i guess i am somewhat infuenced by my opinion of his music sometimes in my estimation of the crowd that he draws. but i still don't think tiesto's style is right for a made party at arc.

on the other hand, if they need to throw parties like this to keep things going financially, then i guess i can accept it.

i've gotta agree with tek... tiesto doesn't have the skills to grace the decks of arc.. although it would be interesting to see him misdrop the beat on the arc mirrors...

I love it how recently everyone decides to bash Tiesto because he got voted #1 dj and their favorite DJ didn't.

yep - bashing oakey got old so we need someone new to pick on. and i have seen tiesto a lot more in the last year than i have seen oakey so my criticism has a better basis.

but most of the bashing also has to due with that fact that tiestos remxing was horrid this year....no quality remixes at all, and he went ahead and "remxied" gatex....like it needed another one, him doing that set up 5 more remixes for this song which is 3 years old and a classic

Some of the remixes were shit b/c he didn't do them himself, but he actually had some decent remixes.
I had a lengthy conversation with Tiesto about this at DC Nation and he told me he produced by himself in 2002:

9. Dreamcatcher-I don't wanna lose my way (Magik Muzik remix)
10. Veit-Sky (Magik Muzik rmx)

Hey, I think these are all alright, in fact, some of them are awesome.

By searching back on the posts made by Tiesto bashers, I realized that 'most' never even liked Tiesto to start with. So why even bother?

i don't think he did that one by himself whatever, picotto's mix of lethal industry isn't that special either. so i guess the favor was reciprocated.

tiesto used to be by number 2 dj until the end of march...

But whoever is bashing Tiesto's mixing skills, behind the decks, doesn't know shit! Why? They probably never saw Tiesto live... cuz if they did, they would've noticed that he is one of the most talented and skilled DJs! If I could mix/beatmatch that good, I would be the happiest mofo alive!

Every single one of those remixes/productions ranks so low in my books, I actually deleted most of those songs from my HD long time ago (except maybe for Dreamcatcher, that one deserves a 6/10).
