Question

Woah guys! I'm really outta the loop right now. Is this new PvD cd you're talking about his new artist album?

Posted by j0rge on Dec-05-2002 03:45:

Total Play : 57:12 min
and im pretty sure it does not have any skips, how? because i ripped it and listened to it 2 or 3 times before releasing

Its a soundtrack to a mexican film called 'La Mano del Zurdo', written by PvD.

i really believe you have to keep in mind, this is made for a movie! its made to be played in the background of a scene when something is happening in the movie. so of course you can't have some wicked track that that's all that you can think about during an important scene in the movie.

and i think MOST people are forgetting that.

i think its so great because it WAS made for a movie. and it really does its job so well. i don't think pvd tried to steal attention from the movie to his tunes, i think he did exactly the opposite and (obviously i haven't seen the movie, and may never but) probably made the scenes better because of the music.

pvd has that emotion in his music that i don't feel in a lot of other people's music, and from hearing the soundtrack, i really feel that the music is just enhancing the emotion from the specific scenes in the movie where each track is played.

and that basically sums up why i love this ost so much

Well, then I still dont like it. He's better off spinnin' records then producing imo!

Dunno

My opinion about Zurdo album.

Maybe when I will see a full movie I will changy my opinion but i think this album can be much better if it will be much more positive (like Out There & Back). It will be more greatful if it have more tracks like Otro Dia. I think the sound of this album is more "easer" than Out There * Back album. The Sound of Zurdo is not so saturated with many small sounds & many Ideas of Zurdo are very old.... Out There & Back is more perfect, I think.... Please don't kill me - its my opinion.

Thank you

Worm Popper

Would love to get my hands on this cd. Sounds good, going by some of the opinions here, it is PvD after all. Whats the movie about? Is it only out in mexico?

Posted by T_2199 on Dec-06-2002 20:31:

sounds really good but nothing too crazy thats because its for a movie I guess..

that is absurd!

Posted by skip on Mar-03-2004 06:16:

the 2cd version is listed on pvd's site in his discography and www.cdon.com for example claim to have it soon on stock (and they most likely will, because they're no shitters)

but the thing i want to know is the tracklist and if it's mixed or not! so no one has it or knows the tracklist or what!??!
