Its all a matter of personal opinion. I personally love Paul but his productions aren't my favorite. However to see him live is a different story. I've only seen him 2 times but both times he blew us all away. Also his live sets particularly Nature One are some of my all time favorites.
look..we have a progressive elitest....so I guess you have Parks and Wilson's EM from earlier this year on repeat....you must find that interesting. Since when did Sean Cusick's opinion actually matter....who the hell cares what he has to say. If I wanted to be put to sleep, I'd go see Sean Cusick...quote me on that.
Then again, some ppl like pvd, some don't......big deal.....

see I wonder why everyone puts up what a prog Zzzzz dj says about another scene. Of course they are gonna diss it.....he is progressive and does not like the trance scene.....that's nice. Then again, I still wonder who the hell asked Sean Cusick these questions, like he is that important to be asked those questions. But my question to Cusick himself....why be a prog elitest?...why do you play such boring sets? do you like digging yourself into a tuneless hole.
Say what you want since its your opinion. Im sure alot of people dislike a ton of other producers / dj's in the scene. Thats what makes things exciting and which brings out more unique material. Its good to see what works and what doesnt and whatever Paul van Dyk is doing, good or bad, it seems to be working.
I have no problem with people expressing there opinion at all but from your reply's and ect it seems like you are trying very hard to get others irade.
So to you and to all others relax. If you are bothering people out of expressing your opinion that does need to stop.

Hell....I own all the pvd albums and even I believe that PVD has gone south in terms of things. Keeps releasing lameass reworks and garbage 12" releases.....but he'll come back in 2003 when he releases his new album and the world goes nuts again. If not, there is always the new hybrid album to be released in 2003.
lol as if all of us little pee-ons (specifically bedrock) can sit here and say that PVD (or any other famous DJ), who makes about 40-50 g's a gig "SUCKS" and "is a disgrace to the trance scene"....who the F*** are you? when was your last album released?? exactly...so shut it. it's one thing to have an opinion, you are entitled to it, but why all the hate?? everyone just jumps on the bandwaggon when something is "too commercial". which is another thing that baffles me...all we complain about is how people don't appreciate trance/electronic music like we do and i see a lot of threads about trying to convert people to trance, etc...but as soon as something is on tv, it's a commercialized piece of crap...

Paul van Dyk sucks. To overrated, productions all sound the same and his mixing is not the best either in MY opinion.
I can't agree in general of what you say Bedrock, but your right in some point. His productions aren't as good as back in the days. He should do more experimental stuff because his lates productions are very decent.
What annoys me: Guide Me God and Nothing But You has the same beginning/bassline! wtf?
As TTA said: I'm looking forward to hearing he's new artist album, I hope it will rock and seeing some very nice stuff like Autumn released.

He sucks big time and so do all these other prog wankers! they need to get out, expand their musical knowledge and stop being so fucking arrogant about trance. When they start playing something dance-able I might be tempted to give them a listen. Until then you can shove bedrock up yer arse!!
i think if he didnt get any replies to his thread,that will bother him more as i think he enjoys the flames..my opinion prog=something i listen too on a long flight so i can sleep right away..trance = something to pump me up and pvd does the trick
