-- I need a mixer...what do you recomend?

what makes a mixer, a "battle mixer"?
a battle mixer is small and light enough to throw, and the crossfader is nice and sharp for cutting people with it.
nah, just kidding. a battle mixer is one used by scratch DJs. it usually has 2 channels, although i have seen some 3 channels called battle mixers.
they usually have features suited to hip hop or scratch mixing, such as hamster switch, kills, and super fast and slippery crossfaders.
and the key thing is, very sharp faders and crossfaders, by sharp i mean that they take effect instantly as soon as you move them, as opposed to the gradual fade on a trance mixer.
some of the nicer battle mixers have other bonus stuff, like crossfader curve adjust, digital FX on the faders (the vestax samurai series), quadraphonic sound etc..
if you want a battle mixer, i think that vestax is the way to go, although a lot of people like stanton for this too.
