thanks for all the great advice guys, I'll most definately be checking japan out (been meaning to do that for a while)

I have a friend who lives there and he tells me the view is breathtaking. You can go hiking in the mountains during the day, shop in the evening and hit the bars and clubs till dawn. It's such a happening city with so much culture and excitement, so different than it is here, I think I will love it.

so yea, suggestions are welcome!

Sneaker Pimp "Konnichiwa :D "

I wanna recommend to go...:
"Hrajyuku"and "Omotesando"---if you are really interested in shopping( cute bags, nice shoes...), you should go there! There are so many nice Cafes too.

"Daikanyama"---There are many shops like Urban Outfitters in Seattle Downtown.

"Shibuya"---If you are bored and nothing to do, watching people these area is quite interesting.

You can get a train every 2 minute, but you would be better to avoid around-5:00 trains; otherwise you will be sandwitched. Drunk people on a street are funny from even my Japanese point of view. They just talk to a tree and dance.

Have a nice trip and enjoy your time in Tokyo!

OMFG JAPAN IS THA GREATEST!!! if you're going to visit japan def go to tokyo and visit all the districts like roppongi, shibuya, shinjuku. but the greatest place on earth is AKIHABARA...or electric town. it's an area in tokyo completely wired off from cars and transportation...just miles and miles of endless stores selling all the electronics you dont see outside of japan. also go hang out around tokyo at night when all the neon lights come on...it looks so awesome. anyways hope you enjoy your trip...cheers

Hmmmm?cI don?ft know much about foreigners?f employment situation?cbut I see many people teaching English here in Kyoto, like other cities.

Sothis, are you going to go to the Gibli museum?? They?fre going to make a new film called ?gHauru no ugoku shiro?h(Haulu?fs moving castle?h??) so you might be able to get some info about it.

Everybody here is talking about Hiroshima/Nagasaki Yeah, they are both beautiful?cbut Kyoto wins the first place. Hehe
Here you can see the mixture of extremely old and new. There?fre lots of temples and historical places?cso if you?fre interested in any of those, you have to visit Kyoto.
If you want some more info abt kyoto, Click
here

now I wonder how many TAs are here in Japan ?cmaybe we can do meet-up thing someday
